This will be our first "camper" rally so kinda pumped about this one. We are on our 2nd FR camper. This cold today is nuts and slight chance of snow tomorrow. I need the heat!
I have a small charcoal smoker that I might try and bring with us.

Sounds great!
The very first Amana rally we had a touch over 200 attendees and 90% of them were "first timers"
A lot of them returned the second year because they had such a great time!

We were first timers to thus rally last year. Can't wait to go this year! Gotta wear the hat I got there!

Tell me about how a potluck dinner works. I have never seen it done outside of a home where everything you need is there.

I would like to know how others handle this. My questions are all over the board as in cook one or more items, quantity, container for said item and if it is a hot item is it just brought in or do folks use something to heat it(plug it in)? What about bowls, plates and tools to eat with?

If anyone add any survival and etiquette tips I would like to hear them.

Thanks.

Bring your own table service.
Bring your own drink.
A potluck of any size is pretty hard to organize on who brings what.
Especially when you have different people reading about the pout luck on different social media sites.
Bring a dish hot or cold there'll be plenty!
Phat phrogs have winged a few potlucks and all have been successful.

I might add that a "prison tray" loaded with more food than any 3 people can eat is not good etiquette. I've seen it done.

I thought the prison trays were a bit tacky, but the guy that had side-boards on his tray was a bit over the top.

3RD Annual 2016 Frog-Tober Fest Amana Iowa .

Briefly this is the schedule for the Amana rally.
I've kept it simple so those attending the rally could spend time in the Amana's enjoying Oktoberfest.
There are wonderful gift shops, wine and beer tasting, superb eating establishments and many many things to do for all ages !

The Morton building is the biggest building on the south end of the property.

Thursday:
Impromptu meet and greet and registration in the Morton building.

Time tbd

Friday:
Registration in the Morton building times tbd

Potluck in the Morton building
Time tbd
Cornhole tournament after potluck Time tbd

Saturday:
Catered meal sponsored by frog and catered by Dostal catering in the Morton building
Time tbd

Live musical guest Beau Timmerman plays for all.
Time directly after catered meal!

Sunday:
Come have donuts and pastries catered by Dostal catering and sponsored by frog.
Time tbd

This is a general schedule that may change as the event gets closer.
Times will get firmed up and I'll have Frog Bob send out a news letter about four weeks before when Bob does his email blast.

This year is shaping up to be a good one according to the steady flow of registrations

Let's keep the status of the THE biggest attended rally outside of goshen and register today!

Any questions, comments or concerns please contact me.

Ron and Ms Amy.

TURBS,
Is the raffle only for the custom boards or will other items be offered as well?
