Title may garner more attendees
Good idea

So lets keep this thread going. Lot of interest maybe we can get a second rally out the group not attending Chenango,Watkins Glen or Gettysburg. How about something in August,September or a final fling in October

Misery sure does love company.

Ya it would be nice to get something going. It sounds like this region hasn't been able to make it happen but with such a short season it's understandable that everyone's calenders get filled up.

Need to plan a year in advanced before everyone has there travel booked for the year. So you can plan one for 2018 and have location and dates picked out and campground connected before December of 2017. Then you will get more response.

I agree with this completely, we are actually researching this year to try to put on a rally next year somewhere in Pa. We are actually running into the issues of folks that repeat their visit every year to this location which makes getting enough sites very hard. We hope by mid to late summer to be able to know if we have any luck on pulling this off.

Any interest in a Northeast Rally???

I would think you would plan one for Delaware or Maryland east coast since it would be closer to you. I go to OC every year for bike rally. Very nice country side to ride through. Delaware, Maryland, Pa I'm always up for if I know enough in advance. I most of the time like I said have my year booked by January 1 since I do state parks mainly, and you have to be quick to get a place, especially during holiday weeks. I do make exceptions on state parks for rallies.

I have August free now since I am not going to Goshen.

Yeah I'm not a fan of hobo style camping that's why I like the smaller rally's in a campground. But some of those I could pass a piece of bread through my window through theirs that is how close they are.

O yeah we will go to say we have been. 11 to 12 hour trip, and 5 days off work, is just not worth it at this time. If I was retired it be a different story.

Yeah I am kind of the same feeling. In another year it will end up being the long summer trip once the DD is into school.

Yeah those days are way gone for me. I always hated not. Wing able to go anywhere during school and having to plan around school schedules.

I guess the "good" part is that the kids never seem to be in school around here.. Always off for something.. So plenty of three day weekends during the school year.

That's good for you. My daughter played sports so they had games even during holidays so could not go anywhere.

Yeah that's the next snafu.. We go away almost every weekend of the summer when I am off.. But that might need some changes depending on what she wants.

Just make sure to enjoy every minute with her. She will be graduating before you realize it.
