Since I haven't been to Branson I am not sure how good this campground is, but I received the following email from Branson Stagecoach Campground.
We would be happy to host your rally. The cost is $26 per night per rig
for 2 people. Additional people over the age of 11 is $3 extra per person
per night. The nightly rate includes the use of the clubhouse. We are
located across from the Table Rock Lake and State Park and Marina, about a
mile from the dam and about 5-6 miles from the 76 strip. We will handle
reservations on an individual basis. Each camper calls 30 days in advance
of arrival with a credit card to hold the site. We collect their
information at that time. We will have sites blocked off for them based on
your recommendation. Any sites not reserved 2 weeks prior to arrival will
be released to be reserved by campers other than your group. If you have
further questions please call Linda. I work Friday, Sat. or Sundays. I am
also in charge of rally's. Thank you for your inquiry.
I am not sure how early we need to call to have the sites blocked off, but Stagecoach only requires a 30 day notice for reservations. That time frame works better for my wife and I since we won't really know if we can make it until about then. I'm not sure how that works for others though. We will go along with what works out best for the group.
Thanks ilovecamping for the info. Would you recommend any of the campgrounds you mentioned? Did you camp at the Widerness and if so how was it? From reading what you posted I would think it would be best to camp in that area.
I will email the other campgrounds, Tall Pines and Table Rock, in the next few days to see what they have to offer. If anyone has any other suggestions, especially if you have first hand knowledge of a good campround in Branson, please let us know.
Gary

I like the idea of the 30 day notice, we usually go around that time of the year, but never know when we can leave due to weather or work. weather permitting we will be there.

None of the folks with children would be able to come the first week of May as the children would still be in school.

Good point. Remember, we are just in the planning stages. I'm sure everyone is willing to do what is best for the whole group. At the same time, we do need to get somethings decided on if we can, time frame, camground, etc.., so people can make plans and hopefully avoid any last minute problems.
May is still 8 months away and there is plenty of time, but considering the holidays in Nov, Dec and Jan, well there probably won't be much getting done during that time.
So if May 1st doesn't work, does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

No kids, no worries.
Just give me a destination+date & we will be there.
However since we have other excursions we are knocking around for next year the sooner something is in stone the better.

We have been camping at The Wilderness for the past 6 yrs. It has everything we need and works for us. It does seem to be more expensive than the ones you listed but they may have a different rate for a group.
I agree about May 1 not being the best date. I keep my DGD's and one is in school and I have her after school and on days she is off. We would bring her if it is after school is out.
I too like the 30 day window to reserve. I have no idea about this cg personally.
We plan to be back in Branson in Nov. We will be on a limited time frame but could MAYBE check out one or two if time allows. If any of you get a chance to be in this area during Nov/Dec it is just beautiful. Silver Dollar City is one of the biggest attractions in the US during this season. We have been taking our DGD since she was 2, she is now 7, and it is her favorite thing to do. She will just sit in awe of the huge tree during the lighting, loves the music and the parade as well as the shows. I love watching her face as much or more than watching the festivities.

No solid commitment available yet as we also babysit our grandson since his mother is a teacher but we will be watching this post very closely as it would be a perfect vacation for my country fan wife. Would the group rate apply for extra nights, as a week long stay would be better for us coming from Canada. If this really takes hold you may need a state park to accomodate everyone. Whether we can get there or not I hope you can get and keep this thing going so we can meet some of you one day. Old Guys

YIKES!! I just looked it up on Google maps-1100 miles and 18 1/2 hours, each way. Gonna have to rerally do some talkin' to get her to agree to that for 3 days!
Wow-wasn't following this thread, but will have to tell the General about it tomorrow. She's the country fan, and I know my dad would love it. Just one question, since I traded my Cedar Creek and went to the DARK side and no longer own a Forest River product , can I still come?

Sure would love to but we have to pay for our daughters wedding next summer so our travel plans are going to be local only.

We would be interested, but can only be a 2 day drive each way from Alabama. I can only take one week at a time off of work.
I've been wanting to go to the Grand Canyon ever since we bought our camper but the boss wont allow that much time off for a road trip. I guess it will be one of the first rips IF I ever get to retire.

Origianlly May 1st was stated as the time to do this. Some have posted that they would like to come, but their kids will still be in school at that time.
We need to know what time would work for all and for those of us who do not have kids in school, we need to know when your particular school lets out for summer and what time would be good for you.
People will be needing to take off work and have to plan the time off, so the sooner we set a date, the better. We'll also need to provide dates to whichever campground is chosen.
May 1st actually works better for me, but I will do whatever I can if it means more people will be able to attend.
