For you who are interested in camping near the Forest River plants, the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen, IN has great camping facilities. Several hundred full hookup sites. They cater to Rally's except during thier fair week.

Update please

Just saw this thread. Read all 11 pages, and looks like 2 possible rallys. One in Branson and one in Elkhart. Could someone/or more than one person provide an update on both.

Thanks

The Forest River Rally for 2011 is still on

The Rally is still on for Branson Mo. for 2011.
It is open for everyone who has a Forest River motorhome, trailer or 5th wheel, etc.

It will be at America's Best Campground, Branson Missouri

It will be for 3 nights and if you want to come earlier or stay later that's up to you.
You must make your own reservations using this information.

Arrival Sunday May1, 2011 and leaving on Thursday May 4, 2011
They said they the price would be $27.50 per day for a full hookup. (Reg. $35)
RESERVATIONS
Call Michele Ward, Groups Coordinator and say you are part of the
Forest River Owners Group. (Before Dec 1, 2010)
800-671-4399 or Direct Line 417-336-4399

NOTE: Everyone must make their own reservations as this would be a big headache any other way.

I am planning on calling Michele and make my reservation on Monday (Nov 8th ), This way I willget the ball rolling.

You can visit the campground website at http://www.abc-branson.com/index.html
You can email the campground at fun4uabc@aol.com
Now, at this moment we have no agenda and I was hoping someone would help out here.

Here is my idea and someone takes it and develops it.
EXAMPLE ONLY
Sunday May 1, 2011 arrive and setup.

Sunday afternoon between 3 or 4 PM we meet at the campground club house or around a few trailers for a hello meeting and a drink. You bring your drink and your chairs.
Sunday evening possibly a pot luck dinner
Sunday evening sit around and chat and rest for the big day on Monday.

Monday May 2, head into town and see what going on.
Monday evening maybe we all have dinner someplace that can handle a large group. Michele said she would help on this.

Tuesday May 3rd

Wed May 4th Breakfast and say good bye or ?.

PONDLADYs idea to call us FROG. Great Idea!
I think everyone that comes have a picture of a FROG on their rig.
"Forest River Owners Group" FROG.

Iggy, you have me as a yes on your list but I'm actually a maybe. We will make every effort to be at the rally, but with our jobs it's just too early to say. This looks like a lot of fun and something my wife and I would really enjoy, it's just too early to say one way or another at this time.

No problem grhodes50. I understand and hope you can make it.
If not we probably will have pictures.
My wife and I usually like trip like this and meeting new fellow travellers.

Just keep reading this message forum for updates.

This is a new adventure. I picked the Sunday show time just to help out others a little who have to travel. Leaving on Friday after work or using much of the weekend so they don't have to use vacation time.

I live almost 1,400 miles away so I'm leaving on Thursday before and have a nice relaxing drive with no speeding. My wife and I will have to figure out where to go after Branson, MO..
Someone mentioned Eureka Springs in Arkansas which is only 45 miles SW of Branson.
Anyone have any more suggestions?

Bass Pro Shop's main store is in Springfield Mo about 45 minutes north of Branson, it's always a adventure.

Michael (crew)
Robyn (boss, captain, queen)
Stephen (2nd asst. to the boss)
Bailey the cat (deck warmer, general pain the butt, 3rd asst to the boss)
Becky (stowaway, 1st asst to the boss)

I run this trip by the missus. She is game.....now to see if it is doable as far as scheduling.

The Sunday arrival time would allow us to leave Saturday morning, with 2 500+ travel days. The mountains through VA., W.Va, and eastern KY will probably be the longest day. After that, it should be a piece of cake.

She is already talking about coming back through Elkhart to visit the RV museum there.

Smile Frog

My wife and I are planing on attending the FROG get together. That is until I read this on this site, Check it out:http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...nson-8760.html
I think there must be a better place if this is what we are to be expecting. After the wide open spaces of a winter spent in AZ, not sure if I can take elbow to elbow and bumper to bumper (I don't have one)
After reading all these post it sounds like there won't even be enough room to park my big long F-250 crew cab and 8 foot box. Holy cow folks...
It would be super to meet all you guys and gals but if one person snores were all in trouble.
Those of us with 4 slides and 42 feet of living space could be setting in the road some where.
Tell me if I'm wrong, I can take it
