Arg! Why not going TO the Rally!

Hit a pot hole on the way home. So many I was not even sure which one caused this as I felt nothing out of the ordinary and the tires (while warmer than normal - but it WAS 92 degrees out) and hubs seemed fine at every fuel stop.

Went to put the chocks in when I got home and saw this.

Looks like both axles are broken.

So upset right now. I will have to put a fair bit of money into the camper to get it back on the road.

Those were Goodyear Marathons and no one can bad mouth those tires to me.

The front one was just as torn up and the rear one. The rear one was the same tire that held together during a bearing failure last year.

(Related?) Hmmmm

Gonna bury that one with full military honors.

Home Safe

We are glad you are home safe from the Rally. We really did try and look you up, but you were a very busy volunteer. We wanted to thank you for the Limoncello Recipe and share with you. Maybe next year. Very sorry to hear about the axles. We will watch the forum for updates on how you make out.

As first time attendees we really enjoyed the Rally. We learned so much about our RV, it is used, but new to us. Can't say enough about the Forest River Maintenance Team, Forest River Customer Service was by just to check in our little corner of the world. Bob and Cindy were awesome, some of the nicest people you can ever hope to meet. We met and made new friends and we are looking forward to next year. We highly recommend this rally. The seminars were very helpful to newbies. Thanks to all who made this rally fantastic.

The good news is you made it home safely. Looking at the damage, you were very blessed to make it home without a catastrophic failure while driving.

Doesn't look like a weld failure, the tube just broke.

Sorry to see you have this problem, Lou, but glad you made it home safely. Everything else is just details, as you know.
