Covered Bridge History Speaker Announcement
Hi everyone - If you have registered or are thinking of registering I want you to know about our Friday night speaker on The History of the Ashtabula Covered Bridges. Mr. Carl E. Feather will be joining us for our Friday Night Potluck Dinner and then he will give a presentation as noted above. Carl's wife Mandy will also be joining us for the dinner. For more than 25 years, Carl was a writer, photographer and features editor with the Ashtabula Star Beacon newspaper. He continues to work as a freelance writer for Goldenseal magazine, which is produced by the W.Va. Division of Culture and History, and produces video content for You Tube and DVDs. He is employed by the Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners, where he works in the lodging tax administration and tourism development. I would encourage everyone to visit Carl's website www.thefeathercottage.com. Pay special attention to the Night Crossings, Ashtabula County gallery as well as Carl's You Tube channel. The You Tube channel can be accessed through his website.
I have just received the first batch of registrations from Evergreen Park and will be contacting those registrants regarding their interests during our event. Thanks to Head FROG Bob Byrne for sending the email blast to everyone in the "Ashtabula County Neighborhood". Hope to meet you in Goshen as well as Conneaut, OH. Gary and Donna Bly

Thursday Evening Entertainment
Hello Again - Last Friday night, Donna and I went to the Swiss Chalet in Geneva-On-The-Lake, OH to see Dennis Ford entertain the crowd. Dennis will be at the Ashtabula Covered Bridge Festival Campout on Thursday evening, October 9th. Dennis and his wife Barb will join us for dinner and then entertain everyone with his smooth style of singing. Bring your dancing shoes as Dennis sings tunes from the '40s thru the '70s. Be prepared to sing along as a lot of his music are the songs we grew up with. A good time should be had by all.

Going to Goshen?
Hi fellow FROGs -
Like many of you, Donna and I are anxiously awaiting our departure for the FROG Rally in Goshen, IN. We will make it a two day trip from Painesville, OH to Goshen with a stop over at Harrison Lake State Park in western OH. We will be bringing information on Ashtabula County as well as what is in store for the Ashtabula Covered Bridge Festival Campout. Registrations are continuing to arrive so you are encouraged to call Jennifer at Evergreen (440-599-8802) to reserve your space. Jennifer has the latest data on which sites have been booked.
We will have a 2 foot by 3 foot poster at our site regarding the campout. Please look us up if you have any questions on the event. If you have already registered, please PM me if you will be attending Goshen so we can get together to make some "attendee plans" for the campout. We will post our site location after arriving at Goshen.
There is a company with website www.barrelsandbridgestours.com that will take a group to some wineries in the area as well as stop at some of the covered bridges. We need a group of 10 at a cost of $40 +/-$5 to make this happen. I hope we have several interested parties as this would make a great Thursday afternoon outing.
Hope to see you soon at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds.
Donna, Gary and Lexie (our Beagle/Hound 4 legged camper)

I just sent out an e-mail blast to FROGs in OH and adjoining states, so we'll probably see the same kind of results that we saw at Amana. Attendance went from 19 rigs to 89 in about four days.
If you haven't signed up yet, I suggest you do it NOW!
