It’s getting close to rally time in Goshen so if this is your first time attending be sure to read the survival tips thread. There is a ton of information about the rally. Here’s the link. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...nds-88352.html

To all wo are attending Goshen.....Safe travels to all and yes read the survival tips, especially first timers. Arrive with the opinion of enjoying yourself and I am pretty sure you will, if not sure ask questions as everyone that has been there before had to learn what to do and what see.

The Der Essenhaus restaurant in Middlebury is great. As you stated Rise’n Roll Bakery (just east Of Middlebury on HWY 20). In Shipshewana the Blue Gate Restaurant.

In Shipshewana on Tuesday & Wednesday there is a large flee market & auction. Lots of vegetables, flowers and food items for sale.

If you go to the visitor center in Shipshewana (west side of road across from big red barn at flea market) they have many tours you can take. You can get a guide to ride in your vehicle and give you a county tour. They also have a audio tour that they will rent to you. The visitors center has maps to many Amish attractions-cheese factory, Amish country’s stores, buggy builder, furniture factory, quilt maker. One street East of HWY 5 in Shipshewana each House is a store front. Big store (Davis Mercantile building) at North end is a four story building with several stores in it. It is a beautiful building inside. (A must see). It has an antique operating calliope on the fourth floor.

The RV Hall Of Fame Museum is on the N/E side of Elkhart. It is well worth couple hours to half a day. Several vintage RV’s . Lots of RV factories will allow tours. Just have to call the factories to see if they allow and their times.

Great advice!!

Just reading this thread I know the Tiki hut and zip line are must see and the Amish bakery. What else?

Thanks for any tips you can provide.
My wife and I aren't the tour bus trip kind either. We picked up a guided driving tour at the fairgrounds office that led up through the circle of cities. Stop/start/skip as you like. We enjoyed it but will need to go again to see everything on the tour.

Sye and I are going to bring our Lightsabers. We are gonna get all hooched up and re-enact the climax of Empire Strikes Back. Now we can do it in a bouncy house. I think the zipline is gonna be yesterday's news after that.

Yes, last year's driving course was a lot of fun and thank goodness the factory employees were on hand to make repairs.

That looks like a good test track. Maybe our manufacturing companies today should use that track. Then our cabinets be attached better. Ha.
