Uhhh, it should be easy getting on line that day, but getting a site might be quite a different matter.

I can't believe that a guy who travels all over interviewing people who have been abducted by aliens would be deceitful

I don't just interview them, I help them to understand that they didn't really see anything at all.

Well, sort of, but it would be costly. You’d still have to pay the whole fare, still show up with your FR rig to check in, still park it in the rally grounds....

But after doing all that, you’re perfectly fine to also pay to sleep in a hotel while your rig sits at the rally. Nobody’s forcing you to actually sleep there.

My reading comprehension isn't very good so I might be wrong.

Are you saying you don’t want to pay the rally fee but you still want to join in on the activities?

Not what I meant. We go to FMCA rallies but don't camp on the grounds. We camp elsewhere and pay a small entrance fee to enter the rally grounds. Can't do that at FROG?

I would say no, but FROG Bob will probably be along shortly with a definite answer.

Not usually in the past, so no!

This is my opinion from my observations

Wow, you are allowed to use a different color other than black, I lost posting privileges for doing that a few years back. Shows the preferential treatment some get on this forum, while others get hassled

We may only want to spend a day or two, and be on our way. Not about money, we would be happy to pay a daily entrance fee, just don't want to camp there.

FROG Bob has the final say of course, but it hasn’t happened in past years I’ve been there. The closest I’ve seen are people who will pull out about 1/2 way through the rally, but I believe it’s their choice to leave early, they still pay for the entire week.

This is an all or nothing rally. There are no daily fees. If you want to join the rally then on Tuesday log onto the FROG website and sign up for the rally and pay the $600.00 registration fee. This ain’t a FMCA rally.

SYE it was not the fact the you used different colors it was that "dirty brown" and the reference to what it meant. Just trying to get something started on someone else besides me. LOL

I would say "no" for a number of reasons. There is no way to limit or predict the number of folks who might want to do so. Yes, just you and your spouse, you say, but how many others might want to come and camp in the area and stop by the fairgrounds to attend events and visit with old friends?

1. Would require one or more "admissions booths" at various fairgrounds entrances to "sell" admissions tickets, with no indication who may or may not just drop by.

2. With the number of vehicles on the fairgrounds, plus vendors, technicians, other groups using the Community Center building, etc., parking is a problem as it is. Daily-use parking might be an issue.

3. Feeding nearly 1,600 people is enough of a challenge for the caterer, and seating for meals is already max'ed out. Adding more people to Building A is pretty much impossible.

4. The "free" ice cream bill is already staggering, without giving away more free ice cream.

5. Seating at some of the seminars is already limited. How would opening up the events to "daily attendees" affect that?

The rally started with fewer than 150 RVs and perhaps 300 people. It has grown to nearly 800 units and more than 1,600 people. It is not a money-making event, never was intended to be, and never will be. The goal is not to see how many people can be attracted and how much money can be raised. FMCA, on the other hand, exists on the money it makes through dues (why else would they have recently voted to allow towables to join?), endorsements and, yes, rallies. If FMCA wants to allow daily attendance at their rallies for a fee, more power to them, but, IMHO, the FROG International Rally has not and should not take that path.
