With Bob taking the site down, Sye probably does have 3 sites. 2 of which are still hung up in the system. When the system goes live again, I would imagine the 2 pending will go through. Go big Sye!!

Here is Bob's latest message, posted on this thread about an hour ago.
UPDATE:
We ran into an unforeseen situation shortly after we open registration, where our credit card processor what overwhelmed with transactions and started flagging them as "suspicious." I contacted them and got the "maximum transaction" filter removed, and manually approved over 400 transactions.
I'm now working with Event Bee to make sure that the transactions get issued in appropriate order, and have temporarily shut down the site while this happens.
I'll keep you posted and we'll re-open the site.
I apologize for any inconvenience and concern that might have been caused.

Geez folks.
Volume on the system overwhelmed capacity somewhere in the system. One of the hardest tests to make on a computer system is how many transactions per second it can handle before getting bogged down.
Recognize the IRS system receiving electronic tax filings failed this morning. As of 4:00pm I haven't heard a report that this VERY important system is back on-line. And the TV folks have been saying that the IRS system failure does NOT give you an excuse for filing late...
Bob posted: "We ran into a temporary glitch with our credit card processor being overwhelmed and exceeding a maximum number of transactions per hour.
I've spoken with them and have manually approved all of the transactions, so if you've not gotten your confirmation, you should be receiving it soon."
"Soon" in data processing speak can mean a couple of days (I know, I've been in this situation)- they will get it straightened out. The team involved is working hard to get everything straightened out and may have to do some of the work manually.
So if you got as far as getting the error message - you have a spot and you will get confirmation - eventually.

Yep... even if the system was tested, the credit card company downstream was a point of failure.
Bob, thanks for trying to make this as painless as possible and communicating throughout the issue.

I doubt that a daily cap was even a thought, most likely thinking of volume at any given time. Imagine how smooth next year will be! [emoji16][emoji16]
