And we will have one of the Ontario plates for those counting provinces.

Yep, I do not know if they need a visa over a certain stay (I'm sure they do) but for short term they can go back and forth just like we can. Mexican citizens will cross into the US all the time to shop and even work (legally).

Under the international drivers compact with 100 and some countries are a part of allows for bona fied tourist and visitors to drive on their license and passport. This is why you can rent a car i Europe and driver for example.

I've seen tags from: Canada, Germany, MX, Puerto Rico, Hawaii (both military transplants), and Panama. We are a huge tech and pharma area so we get driver's from all over the world here. Most recent were German and Swiss. See a lot from Japan and China.

I have met A lot of French , English and Germans but they always rented motor homes, talked to one couple from Germany, if I remember right it was like 3000.00 a week, but they wanted to travel route 66 started in Chicago where they picked it up and where going all the way to California.
They had it for 2 weeks and then when they got there would fly back home from Cal. ONE WAY RENTAL, very expensive.

I ran into a fellow here in Canada last summer from the Isle of Man (UK). He had his European camper on a Ford transit platform container shipped to the East coast of Canada. He flew in and drove it across Canada to the West coast and then up to Alaska and back.

Thanks for the welcome but easy on the "all the way", Our drive to the rally is likely a lot shorter than yours. We have only slightly over 4 hours drive time to Goshen from home.

Looking forward to meeting you and a lot of others FROGS at the rally. We met some including Bob and Cindy already a few years ago at a Michigan rally.

Yep, just slightly under 4 hours here. It amazes me when you run into somebody there who took days to get there, but is fascinated that we came ‘all the way from Canada’.

You mean Canada is not "way over yonder"?

You can really confuse them as I see you are from Windsor by telling them you live south of Detroit. And the part of Canada you come from is further south the the northern part of California.

It takes us a week to get to Goshen from Oregon, 2400 miles. We drive 300-400 miles a day, depending on where we can find good campgrounds.

It also depends on where in Canada folks are coming from. I agree that some of you Canadians are closer than some of us Americans.

You should have seen when I used to have to explain to people in Germany that I didn’t live ‘way up north’ and that since I actually lived on the same latitude as Rome, it was actually them who lived ‘way up north’.

Rise 'n' Roll is opening a new location tomorrow morning on Cassopolis Street in Elkhart. You're already too late to be the first customer and win a year's supply of donuts. Sorry!

(I assume that they get to decide what constitutes a year's supply.)
