I just spoke with John and Barbara on Friday. John has been having some health issues, but they've pinpointed the problem.
They're doing and event next weekend, then John will be having some treatment. The doctor has given him a green light to travel starting sometime in June. They're excited about being back with us again this year.

I believe that Lippert, West Side Furniture, and a third company that's escaping me had mattresses last year. I'll check tomorrow for a list of last year's vendors. I know that Lippert and WSF will be back, and I believe the third one (assuming I'm remembering their products correctly) will be back as well.

Hi Folks - this is our first time at the rally. Just curious - How much of a traffic jam should we expect with everyone trying to leave the fair grounds on the 12th??

I have never had a problem, there are like 5-6 gates to leave out of. Everything has always run smoothly. Depending on which way you go home, is where the traffic is, and that is not bad either. Some people leave Friday night after dinner some Saturday morn. It flows rather well, or at least it has the past 4 years. Hopefully this answered your question.

I agree with SYS , there is really not much of any traffic jams when people leave, you have more of a jam when you arrive, but the parking folks will do there best checking you in. Capt. Mike and his crew have it down. Some people leave almost daily. As soon as there repairs are done alot will leave.

CROWD when leaving
Crowd when leaving???? I always complain to my DW after we leave, "where did everybody go?" because we never and I mean never see anyone when we leave the fairgrounds and I use a very common route to
travel on.
You will have no problem leaving!

As an outsider (meaning I have not been to the event) I look at the count down two ways
1. Kind of interesting to see the hullabaloo build based on days out
2. Something to look forward to when the counter runs out and the thread slows
forum postings like email it is hard to know the actual intent of a posting without knowing the person so misunderstandings can happen. The best way I have found to survive a forum is to grow a thicker skin and realize most stuff is not directed at you (the reader)

Actually, as the event draws near and the countdown dwindles, the thread picks up speed! It will go nuts the week before with people looking to hookup with fellow travelers along the way and making plans to meet up at the event. I think last year (maybe 2015) there were no less than 15 different Goshen threads going at the same time.

Sadly we were unable to attend this years Rally as work is too busy to take a week off. Add the fact that we are SOB killed this rally for our attendance for the foreseeable future.
I did not know Phrank but knew of him and the impression he made on many. All people here are important and lets not let "XX days till Rally" drive a wedge between us. Thinking of Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw.
