There has been in the past for a fee, they were out there Friday and Sat. They have an area in with the vendors to sign up for it

Parking assignment

This is idle curiosity--not expecting special consideration or anything, but just wondering if we can learn in advance what area we have been assigned for parking?

The plan is still being "tweeked" up to parking day, so unfortunately, no.
In fact most spots are "Hobo" parked one right after the other.

It is a fairgrounds with most spots not numbered.

And another question...

Will a list of the vendors planning to attend the rally be posted / emailed before the rally starts? I wouldn't be surprised that there could be last minute changes though.

I believe Bob sent one out last year (and all previous years that I can recall).

Did anyone last year take advantage of the driving school they had for RV'ers? I would like to hear what you thought.

The way it was accomplished the year I had mine weighed was that sometime during the week they weighed your truck by itself. Then they weighed your truck with the fifth wheel as you departed the campground. It worked real smooth for us as we were #2 in line.

Pat
My wife spoke with them last year and plans to take a class this year. We had too many tours and other "stuff" planned last year for it to fit. This year we have a "clean" schedule!

I'm hoping to have it completed and posted this week or early next.

Right now the rough numbers that we're trying to juggle include approximately:

800 RVs attending
65 vendors
84 seminars / classes
12 Amish area tours
24 plant tours
18,000 meals for attendees and service techs
500 service requests
entertainment
ice cream (can't forget ice cream)

Other than that it's fairly quiet around here.

The folks from RVSEF -- RV Safety & Education Foundation -- will be with us again this year to do a free seminar on Weight, Tire Safety, and Load Management, and will again be doing weighing for a fee.

Been there (similar), got the scars and t-shirt!

I'm sure there will be issues, most if not all minor, someone(s) will likely get upset over something pretty stupid and minor, but in the end, rumor has it, we WILL have a GREAT rally!

I'm just hoping that the zip line isn't routed over MY trailer!
