Looking forward to our 5th rally! We are available to come as early as needed this year to help with parking, registration and golf cart shuttle. See you all soon!

Anyone interested in putting together a potluck dinner meal for Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings???? Rally won't be providing dinner those two nights.... They will have space available if we're are interested.

Now we're ready for the rally. Wine, cheese and a FROG... "Whiny" will make a nice table center piece...

We'll pull it together as we get closer to the time.... I've got tickets to the Prime Rib cruse but I can't remember what night it is - Thursday I think.... I believe they can make the dining room and several pavilions available as long as it's cleaned up when finished....

I'm registered for the event, but apparently all the excursions must have gone extremely fast. I thought Goshen was in the central time zone, so it was actually 12:45 PM when I was registering. Wouldn't have thought they would have filled up in 45 minutes.

We went to 2 Rally's and the only thing open for sign up was the factory tour. ( twice ). Don't let that dampen your enthusiasm. You attend the meals and vary your seating and you will quickly make new friends that are in a similar situation. You can make side trips.
We have lived near the Amish in the past so things like the craftsman barns where they actually MAKE the furniture is very interesting. Get out in the countryside and look for hanging signs and stop in. Get on the internet and seek out places of interest ahead of the Rally. We have several great Amish crafted furnishings in our home. Great local bakeries....

There are always trip cancelations due to last minute cancellations and camper maintenance. The freed up slots will be posted for sale by the owners of the slots on the rally bulletin board.

No problem. I'm an avid cyclist, and can occasionally get my wife out there too, especially where there's an absence of hills. We're starting to look into how to fill our days, but really will only try to fill 2-3 days with touring, site-seeing type of activities. We like to get out and be a bit more on our own on the bikes and hiking.

I assume you have since learned Goshen is in the eastern time zone, right?

As others have said, once you socialize around the grounds and at dinner, you find yourself less likely venturing outside the grounds and more likely making life long friends. I know I have!

There are great biking trails around Elkhart County, one of which starts right across the street from the fairgrounds.

There is a very nice bike trail that connects to the fairgrounds, not sure how long and where all it leads to but saw another trail in Middlebury and pretty sure they meet up, I believe the fairgrounds have brochures in the office and might have one for it there.

Two Big Issues to "Pay Attention" is "Bicycles" and "Buggies" the Main transportation of Amish and they use the Same Roads as Us! Look out for " Horse Exhaust" also! Youroo!!

Awwww. Don't kid.... You just didn't want to have to put the T-Rex costume on again to drive out.

Factory tour signups will be during registration, most likely on Sunday. We wait to see what the mix of units attending is before we schedule all of the tours, although we pretty much know what most of them will be.

We're glad to see that we'll be able tour Georgetown / FR3 now that they're in their new production plant.
