Yes, the dealer only took 9 days to fix it and my wallet is now $5,099.00 lighter. Who knew the 6.4 diesel was only good for a little over 68,000 miles. Because I use this truck to tow my fifth wheel, all scheduled maintenance was performed on time and in accordance with the severe usage schedule.

Departing Day
I have tried searching thru the hundreds of pages on this thread but can't find the date we are departing. The last meal is Saturday morning so I am guessing (don't want to use the word assume) we are paid thru Saturday night and leave Sunday unless we pay for an extra day with the fairground people.
If somebody can confirm that would be great as I need to make reservations for the trip home.

Funny thing about the link I posted. Using my computer the link works, using my smartphone the link takes me to a the thread started by Mike Rimmer back in 2006. Is he sending messages from the great beyond?

Link works ok on my apple, sorry for your loss Bob, any help from Ford, no compassion for such an early failure.

No ground fires are allowed, and, because of the closeness of units, no wood fires because they can scatter sparks on your neighbor. Several people have brought small propane fire pits, which are OK.
You can bring a golf cart if a licensed driver is operating it. We do not have golf carts for rent, but will have a fleet of shuttle carts as well as a tractor / wagon shuttle to help you get around.
NO ALCOHOL is allowed to be consumed by anyone on a golf cart, whether the driver or a passenger.
I forgot to add this important item mentioned by Capt. Mike:
Quote:
One hard-and-fast rule: Except for the one spot where we can cross the track to enter or leave the Cedar Creek area in the infield, there is no walking or driving of any vehicles on the track. And remember, it is an active trotting-horse track that is used almost every day to train and exercise horses. LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING. HORSES HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY.

Saturday is departure day. We have breakfast that day so that those who need to get on the road early can do it, and others can hang around a while for breakfast and leave a little later. That method has always allowed us to avoid traffic jams on "getaway day."
The six nights of camping included in the rally fee are Sunday through Friday.

Saturday (the 12th) is the last day of the rally. You are expected to depart Saturday unless you make arrangements with the fairgrounds for an extra day. They may or may not be able to accommodate based on the schedule for the Fairgrounds. You should contact them directly.

What Herk said. There's a rally coming in behind us (the reason we had to go a week earlier this year) that I believe will start early parking on Wednesday. They're using a little over 200 sites, virtually all of the full hookups, but there should be no issue with staying a day or two after the FROG Rally.
The number to call at the fairgrounds to arrange for early arrival or late departure is (574) 533-3247. As yet another reminder, early arrival DOES NOT guarantee a full hookup site.

What FROG Bob said. For the most part, all parking areas/spots are pre-assigned by the parking committee based on several factors like length of camper, camper type, medical requirements, work request requirements (must be requested by the division folks), etc.
Don't expect to get anything changed at check in!
We just can't do it and park 800 campers in such a short period of time.
Stay calm! We know you had a hard day of driving to get to the fairgrounds!
We will get you parked as expeditiously as possible; follow the parkers directions.
DO NOT DEPLOY YOUR AWNINGS UNTIL YOUR NEIGHBOR IS PARKED SAFELY.
You will have the same space as everyone else. You WILL be able to deploy your main (camper wall mounted) awning. You most likely WILL NOT be able to fully deploy SLIDE mounted awnings.
Expect for most all areas, park as you come into the area. IF YOU WANT TO PARK NEXT TO A FRIEND; arrive together to have any chance of doing so.
Make sure you contact "CaptMike" or "F.R.O.G." Bob with your request so we can pre-plan it.
Herk
Come with a good attitude and everyone will get parked safely and have a great rally!

Weighing Vehicles
Where there be an opportunity during the Rally to have my truck and 5th wheel weighed? If so, will I be able easily to get my 5th wheel out of parking and back again?
Thank you in advanced.
