Well good news. We got the truck back. It was a bad emissions injector. It was covered by a TSB so no charge, truck is back on the road!

Route help:
We are looking at potential routes for the trip down.
Option 1: 7 hrs and 24 min (without stops) Takes me down 85 south through Charlotte and Atlanta. Then pick up 20 West to US-431 on into River Road.

Option 2: 7 hrs and 34 min (without stops) Takes me out I-40 West through Asheville NC and into TN skirting me north of Pigeon Forge and then onto I-75 south to Chatanooga where we pick up I-24 west briefly before getting on I-59 South to I-759 into Gadsden where we pick up US-411 into River Rd.

Option 3: 7 hrs and 54 min (without stops). Takes me out I-40 west through Asheville, NC to 74 down through Chatanooga to 24W 59 south to I-759 into Gadsden where we pick up US-411 into River Rd.

I'm thinking option #2 is the best as it avoids Charlotte and Atlanta. Thoughts?

Just wondering if we are good to come to the rally. I spoke with the campground and they have our reservations.

Hello Pennie, Last time we communicated, you were going to check with the campground to see what they said. I talked with them two days ago and we have reservations with them. You stated you had a cancellation, so just making sure we are officially in the rally.

I would suggest emailing her or sending her a pm. She may not see it as rally organizers get really busy this close to the start of a rally.

Thanks Pennie.

Ally, i agree option 2 would be best for avoiding traffic but you will have a steep incline at Black Mountain and i believe several curves after Asheville. I am sure others will chime in.

Route 2 will be the best but you will be going through Chattanooga it can get dicey depending time of day you get there. Later RJD

We are still in Kerrville. The 2018 Kerrville, TX FROG Rally was great.
We will leave in the morning and begin the 950+/- mile tow to Gadsden. Planned arrival is Wed afternoon.

Heading out tomorrow from Meaher State Park in Mobile, Al. This is a wonderful state park right on the water with paved sites and full hoookups. Should arrive by 3 pm with Aceinspp.

You might want to warn people, you sleep late, and if it's rocking don't be knocking, have a good time ally.
