Exclamation California Here We Come Again! 2017

We know you've winterized and stored your rig, but lets think about travel season!
Golden Village Palms RV Resort, Hemet, California is the place to be again this year from June 8 to 11.
This will be the 3rd year for this event and we managed to increase attendance both previous years.
This is a 'fun' rally, not a repair rally.
The local Forest River factory is going to give us two tours. One Friday and one Saturday.
Wine tasting tours have become cost prohibitive with a limo...soooo...feel free to visit the wineries, just have a designated driver.
There will be more information as we approach the date so please call the resort and make your reservations with them as soon as you set your schedule for 2017.
Contact Golden Village Palms directly at 866-477-6154 to reserve your site at the special FROG rate. Be sure to let them know you are with FROG!
GVP is located at 3600 Florida Ave. in Hemet, with 1000 full hookup sites on 60 acres.
Last year was a lot of fun and some took advantage of the wine country, museums, casinos, shopping in Palm Springs, the Aerial Tram to the top of Mount San Jacinto, Indoor Skydiving and much, much more.
The tour of the Forest River Plant in Hemet was a real bonus and everyone who attended learned how a trailer was put together. Manpower, not machines.
We have social sessions, Pot-Lucks and Forest River will supply us with Saturday dinner from the top rated Sweet Baby Jane's BBQ here in Hemet.
WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATION: E-MAIL GERRYREVIEA@YAHOO.COM

Thank you all, lets make this another fun year!
Let Gerry & Linda know if there is anything we missed

And remember- you can take home as many rabbits as you can fit in your unit! The staff doesn't mind.

Glad you're going to make it again this year Bonnie.
Golden Village Palms is great for letting us have 75 spots this year.
Looking forward to filling them all since we have a factory tour arranged for Saturday too!

Are children allowed at this park? I don't see children in any of their photos on their website.

Yes, children are allowed. However, there aren't any organized activities for them at the park.

We are in!!! AGAIN!!!

Hello Gerry and Linda & all our F.R.O.G Friends!!

Looking forward to another fun weekend with some great people....We have met some wonderful friends and are looking forward to camping with you all again this year!

Just curious if any of you ladies...or guys would be interested in doing a paint party while there. I would provide all the supplies....wood cut out, paint, ribbon for you to complete your project. I would need to have a confirmed count the week before in order to cut and prep the wood.

The flower is a project I recently did....the Star is a sample of what I'd like to do with everyone.

I'm a Passport America Member and this resort is in their directory. Do any of you use PA to book for a FROG?

We don't really have a schedule of events beyond the factory tours.
They are scheduled for Friday and Saturday this year (2017).
The Pot Luck Dinner is Friday, and the BBQ dinner will be on Saturday with entertainment and raffles after dinner.
Every afternoon we have a 'Happy Hour' in the clubhouse and exchange information with each other. Usually about 4pm.

Everyone has a good time.

There are a variety of attractions in and around Hemet to keep you occupied and we have some games to play. Ladder Golf, Washers and a bag toss.

Remember, this isn't a 'repair' rally. It's a fun rally to meet other FROGs, tour a Forest River Factory and make friends.

Hope to see you June 8 - 11, 2017.

We booked with the resort!!

We actually pick up our trailer tomorrow in Temecula! It's the tour that has me all geeked out and excited about coming. It will be my husband and I and four of our children.

For those asking about children - the park says they can use the pools but not the other clubhouse activities. They had no problem with children coming to the park and kept saying how welcome we were and how much fun we'd have.

We won't be there until Friday evening unfortunately ... work calls and we already have too many vacation days on the books for the summer.

California Here We Come Again #3

The date is approaching faster then we expected!
Reservations are still being made through Golden Village Palms and we only have 75 full-hook up spaces this year.
The Hemet FROG Rally is growing, and since changing the date by a week, something new is now happening!
The 13th Annual Cherry Valley Lavender Festival June 9 – 11 and 16 – 18, Over 20 acres to visit at 123 Farms at Highland Ranch. Guided tours in a horse drawn hay wagon, learn how lavender essential oil is extracted and used in various products. Taste lavender lemonade and ice cream. Lavender products are available for purchase at the farm.
Some FROGs are coming on June 8 and staying until the 12th.

Friday morning and Saturday morning are the tours of the Forest River Factory. Closed toe shoes are required. This is a factory and can be dangerous. If you have children with you be certain that they understand that.

Every afternoon about 4 pm we have a 'Happy Social Hour' in the clubhouse, and Friday evening is our Pot-Luck, please fix your favorite dish for 6 to 8 to share. Bring your own table service and an appetite to sample whatever is brought by other FROGs.
Saturday evening is dinner and entertainment sponsored by Forest River and provided by town favorite Sweet Baby Janes BBQ here in Hemet. Followed by our annual raffle. Please keep your tickets.
Remember to make your reservations with Golden Village Palms (866-477-6154), and send us a courtesy email (gerryreviea@yahoo.com) so we can keep track of attendance for the dinner.
We've had fun the last two years and this year will be just as much if not more!
Just look at the Golden Village Palms website (Southern California RV Park | Golden Village Palms RV Resort) for all the available activities, like the new Pickle Ball Courts, Horse Shoe Pits, Swimming Pools and Hot tubs.
Local attractions like the wineries, indoor skydiving and the “FREE” Orange Empire Railroad Museum.
Come join us for the 3rd Annual Southern California FROG Rally.

They don't have any handicapped sites at all nor do they allow smaller RVs in a pull-through site either. Looks like a nice resort but I wished they were handicapped friendly.
