It use to go off of registration date and not when you showed up to rally. I think that has changed somewhat in the past year to get brands closer together to help out the techs, since the number of registrants for '16 will double that of 2014. I also know Bob will most likely put the Phat Phrogs where they will do the least harm and/or he can watch them closely.

Also Thanks Aquaman for todays update.
Thank you for the survival tips. First time owner and hopefully FROG rally attendee in August.
Regarding the note about registration being open Friday:
That implies that you can actually arrive on Friday and get a site - August 12th, Is that right?

When you register and get a conformation number you are guaranteed a site. This doesn't mean you are guaranteed a full hookup of Electric, Water and Sewer. You may still only get Electric and Water and get one free Honey Bucket truck pickup while there. Bottom line you should come with your black and gray water tanks empty.

2016 FROG International Rally
August 14, 2016 - August 20, 2016
Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds Goshen, IN
This is the biggest event of the year. Six nights of camping, ten meals, factory tours, local tours, vendors, seminars, and much more.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN LATE MARCH OR EARLY APRIL FOR THIS EVENT.

As I was in handi cap spot I was mixed in with all the 5ers and MH not full hook up either. I had registered fairly early also. One thing about it I was close to the food hall Later RJD

To clarify the parking arrangements, and in particular the issue of full hookup vs water & electric sites:

We have about 200 full hookup spaces, and will have 800+ units at the FROG Rally this year. A quick check of the math shows that about the odds of getting a full hookup site are better than hitting the lottery, but still not great.

SITES ARE NOT ASSIGNED ACCORDING TO ORDER OF REGISTRATION OR ORDER OF ARRIVAL. REGISTERING EARLY OR COMING IN EARLY ON YOUR OWN WILL NOT GUARANTEE A FULL HOOKUP SITE.

I will be using some of the sites for members of the parking team whom I ask to arrive five or six days early. If I ask you to come in early, I won't also ask you to last for over a week before the pump out service is available. Some of the sites will be used for parts of portions of brand groups, and some will be used for medical situations that require them. The rest are somewhat luck of the draw.

For some really good suggestions on arrival, parking, and other pertinent issues, Herk's post from last year, which was linked a few posts up, is excellent.

I knew FROGBob would show up and clarify. I'm excited to attend this year's rally, as we missed last year's due to the timing and co-hosting the Nashville Rally with the other PHrogs. Will be exciting to see all the FROGs in one place, as I said, I think it will be about double that of 2014. Anyone remember exact attendance? 375? 430?

Forgot to mention, regardless of site, you'll have a great time! And if you see this cart running around, flag me down, I'll give you a ride!

We also missed last year. We will be there this year no matter what. We had a great time there in 2014 and are sure 2016 will be even better. It is 675 miles from here, but we are leaving here on June 8, just to be sure we make it on time😀

For me it's 1,900 miles if I take the shortest route from Arizona.
I can do it in 7 days but I never take the short route.
Like Robert Frost wrote... "And I took the one less travelled by and wanted wear and that has made all the difference".
I think that's how its written.

I look it up online.

The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Ah yes, the road less traveled. Our ride to Goshen will take us through Boise, ID, Mt. Saint Helens, the CA Redwoods, Yosemite, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Mt. Rushmore, Suite Saint Marie and then finally Goshen.
No hurry for us.

When does the reservation window for Goshen open and how long does it take to fill up? We are leaving on an Australia cruise the first week of March and are concerned the window may be closed by the time we return.
