We're excited to announce a great new FROG event coming up in December. Ruth Cox-Crofoot and Larry Crofoot will be your hosts for a Cajun Christmas December 9-13 in Natchitoches, LA.



Natchitoches becomes the City of Lights as it ushers in the Christmas season on the banks of the Cane River with spectacular Christmas lights, fireworks, and more.

Beautiful new Pecan Orchard RV Park will be your home for the event, which includes a traditional meat pie dinner; escorted tour of the city; bar-b-q dinner; horse-drawn carriage ride; boat cruise on the Cane River; special seating area for the fireworks display over the river; and a lot more. Bus transportation is included for all scheduled events away from the park.

Registration will open online on Wednesday, March 4 at noon Eastern time.

RJ, it's not a replacement. We'll be doing the Charleston Holiday Festival of Lights as well, with the two events butting up against each other. Charleston will run from December 13-18, and will be posted in the next week or two.

Glad to hear about this frog rally in my hometown. Wife and I live just a few miles from the brand new Pecan Orchard camp ground. Been to goshen rally twice and Eureka Springs and Mayberry rallys. Always a good experience. Natchitoches is a nice little town, the oldest in the Louisiana purchase, founded in 1714. There's a lot of history here and good food. Shopping in the historic district is a big draw as is the oldest operating mercantile store in louisiana, Kaffie Fredericks. Its a must see. In the downtown area where all the christmas lights and fireworks take place every saturday through december. And, Natchitoches is the filming location for the movie "Steel Magnolias." Hope all have a great time.

I'm now a "former frog" so I will miss the event but it is a beautiful town any time of year and especially at Christmas. Lots of interesting history along the Cane River and it's plantations. I'm sure it will be a great time!

The campground website lists water and electric. No sewer hookup?

They don't mention sewer...but the photos of the sites show sewer hook ups. I think their website is fairly new and still a work in progress.

My understanding is that all of the sites are full hookups.

Natchitoches at Christmas is a great site. If the General Store on the River is still there, it is worth a visit. Best general store I have ever visited.

After meeting you guys at the Eureka Springs rally, we made plans to visit your city.....well, we finally got there this past December and have not stopped talking about that holiday trip yet....we stayed out at the Grand Ecore RV Park, a great park to stay in....did many holiday home tours, fantastic fireworks on Saturday night, historic downtown shopping and restaurants, Melrose, and brought back a couple of Clementine Hunter pieces for our home.....Natchitoches will be on our list again someday.
