FROG events

Our good friends would possibly want to attend a FROG event along with my wife and myself......but, their MH is a Thor, not a FR product....any problems with that?

FROG events

Yup. Big problem. They will not be allowed to attend. They may be able to book a site at the same campground, but they will not be allowed to participate in any FROG events, including meals.

I thought that it was only the big Goshen International FROG Rally that you were required to own a FR product, in order to attend.

It is FR money sponsoring the event so they (FR) want their money spent on FR customers. A few years ago someone signed up for the International Rally, but prior to the rally they swapped RV’S and showed up at the rally with a non-FR unit. They were turned away, but I think they got a refund for the rally fees they had paid.

Just as a side note……

We also own a Ford Mustang, belong to a Mustang Club, and attend Mustang sanctioned events.

Never seen a Camaro or Corvette or Charger or Challenger at our events either.

5er_tom outlined it correctly for FROG rallies.

Not the same, People going to the Frog event are not there to show off there RV.

People are going to the event to learn and meet new people and have a good time.

It’s wrong, people are paying to go to the event and FR should welcome people from the other side.

Well after doing 4 rallys I can defiantly tell you if you don't own a FR product you did not get in per FR rules. I had folks asked if they could come and visit and attended the seminars. Guess what nope. Bottom line is no FR camper No can attended rally . Later RJD

I won’t debate this discussion any further than to say….

I’ve been to a number of FROG events and people DO show off their rigs. Ever notice how nice ‘n shiny they are. And almost everyone welcomes whoever to come inside and see their rigs.

Our Mustang events are to learn, meet people and have a good time.

Sanctioned events by any manufacturer, have the right to set the permissions as to who may attend. It’s their party, their money, their rules.

I'll strongly disagree. The rallies receive funds from FR that offsets part of the attendee's rally fee. These funds may be to cover a dinner, an event, transportation, etc. Often there are raffles for "stuff" provided by FR. So, if FR wants to restrict to owners of FR products, it is their perogative.

Only way I would agree with your position, is if there was a different, higher, attendance fee charged the people without a FR product.

LOL ! I guarantee you that people are driving Chevys, Rams, Toyotas and BMWs to the Ford events. You clearly are not looking in the parking lot.

I'm amazed at how often people express how someone else should do an event, run a business, market a product, etc. (pick any topic) but never actually create or do the thing they tell others how to do.
If you're not satisfied with the what, where, when, how someone is providing then step up and create the one you want and offer it to the marketplace.
No one believes they can be all things to everyone. You can't please everyone all the time. One size does not fit all.

OMG! I've become my parents.

Keep in mind that FROG stands for Forest River Owners Group. If you want to go to rallies with friends who have non Forest River products, you could go to Good Sam rallies, FMCA rallies, or local RV club rallies.

If you look on the bottom right of this event it clearly states you must be in a forest River product to attend any FROG rally.

Your opinion is noted. Nevertheless... Non-FR units are not allowed to attend a FROG event.

That's just the way it is.

If you want to be included you have to own a Forest River product. It's an exclusive club to FR owners. Nothing is stopping individuals from planning and organizing their own events open to all.

I just feel it wrong to take a payment in advance and then tell the person when they arrive after traveling hundreds of miles there not permitted to attend.

Sometimes you need to bend the rules if your not taking details of each person’s RV.

And I think its wrong to ignore the clearly posted information about only FR Owners can attend Forest River OWNERS Group events and pay anyway and drive hundreds of miles expecting the hard-and-fast rules to be changed because they paid anyway and drove hundreds of miles.

So who do you know who made a registration to a FR owners only rally and traveled hundreds of miles only to be prohibited from attending a FR only rally?
Why would anyone attempt such when when the requirements/qualifications are listed on the registration pages?

Exactly. Here is a screenshot from the upcoming FROG event in Oklahoma. It states all the requirements before you can even get to the ticket purchase.Click image for larger version
