FROG Membership Reaches 50,000
FROG Membership Reaches 50,000
FROG, the Forest River Owners’ Group, recently achieved a milestone as it registered its 50,000th member family, reports FROG Director Bob Byrne. While the group does not release membership lists, Byrne said that the milestone registration came from a couple in Escondido, CA.
“We’re tremendously excited at having reached this goal in just under four years,” Byrne said. “Growing from being a fledgling group with no members at the beginning of 2012 to achieving a membership of over 50,000 by the close of 2015 speaks highly not only of the organization, but also of Forest River and of the confidence that our owners and members have placed in us.”
FROG’s achievement comes just as Forest River, founded in 1996 by Pete Liegl, celebrates its 20th Anniversary.
“Pete recently wrote a letter of appreciation to Forest River dealers, owners, suppliers, and employees,” Byrne said. “In it, he mentioned that Forest River is ranked #1 in Motorhomes, #1 in Towables, #1 in Buses, and #1 in Cargo Trailers,” Byrne said. “He can also claim the #1 manufacturer-sponsored owners’ club in the industry.”
Since its inception, FROG has sponsored trips, rallies, and other events in twenty-six states and one province. Attendance at its annual FROG International Rally has grown from just over 200 in 2012 to 700 last year, and is expected to exceed 800 this year. Membership encompasses every state and province in the United States and Canada, and at least two overseas countries.
“At Forest River, Pete has instilled an attitude that I describe as, ‘Always Happy, Never Satisfied,’” Byrne said. “Reaching this level of membership is a great achievement. We’re doing a good job, now we need to see how we can be even better.”

Yes, great news for a great forum! I was surprised to learn FROG forums came about in 2012. I logged in 2013 to some great and helpful advise after only one year being active. Very cool!

Congrats on the milestone Bob. You and Cindy have done an outstanding job growing the organization in such a short time.

Congratulations. We sent in our registration 2-3 months ago but did not receive anything back. Will we get some kind of confirmation?

Forest river forums is different than FROG. FROG is forest river owners group. See the FROG website here. Forest river forums have been around a lot longer than FROG.

Tom, funny you should mention that. Indiana Power & Electric added new transformers for the fairgrounds shortly before the fair last year.
Just last night the Elkhart County Fair Board approved a request to purchase electric cable & boxes and water hookups for another 150 temporary sites. We'll need to use some for vendor and display sites, but we should have between 100 and 125 available for additional attendees this year.

Wobbles, no doubt about it. A significant number of FROG members are also contributors, administrators, or moderators of the Forest River Forums, and have played a large part in the meteoric growth of FROG. Many of us who work for Forest River are also members and participants, although we have no control over operation and content of the boards.
As Asquared mentioned, the Forest River Forums are completely independent of Forest River and FROG, and have been around considerably longer. They're part of the Social Knowledge family. You can learn more about them and the breadth of their forums at the bottom of the page. Just in the RV category they have twenty-three forums, including general, brand-specific and others, like campgroundreviews.com.
