We will be coming from Texas to try some Northern hospitality and German food. Looking forward to meeting new RV folks.

Here is the Rally info schedule. I've looked it over a few times so hopefully it's correct. I am also trying to have this added to the first post so it's easier to find.

FROGTOBERFEST 2019 Oct 3rd - 6th
Forest River Owners Group - The official owner's group of Forest River RV, manufacturer of world-class recreational vehicles.
Everything’s set for this year’s rally!

Thursday 4:00- 5:30 registration and meet and greet at the Morton building.

Friday freestyle the day in Amana and enjoy the sites and sounds!
Potluck at 6:00 pm PLEASE BRING YOU’RE OWN TABLE SERVICE AND DRINKS
Bring a hot or cold dish to pass!

Cornhole tournament at 7:00 - 7:30 all in the Morton building.

Saturday free style in town all day.
6:30 pm catered meal compliments of F.R.O.G in the Morton building.
7:30 - 8:00 cowracers camper crawl!

And as always we’ll have a custom made ONE OF A KIND cornhole boards and bags to raffle off and all proceeds go to a charity!

There will be a new entrance to the park this year. Instead of using the northeast corner, they've built a new office and entrance on the north side of the park near the center, directly north of the Morton Building where the meals are held. Rally attendees will enter and check in there, and are asked to use the west gate, across from the theater, to enter/exit during the week.

See you then!

The start time is between 7 and 7:30. It's already past the time I can edit it or would add that note to it.

So how many are going to the big rally in August? We are going for the first time. We also signed up for the bison and BBQ tour. I know there was something else in the name but can't recall this minute.

We did the boat, bison, BBQ tour a couple years ago with RV Chick and RV Chick-dude. It was a good time, but i was rather dissapointed with the BBQ part. I thought it would be like the seafood places where they let you pick your lobster out of a tank of live ones, but with bison instead of lobsters. Turns out that's not how they do it...

We did the amish wedding feast last year after getting suggestions from people. I have never been so full in my life. The wedding feast was incredible. Simple but amazing food. The other things were pretty interesting like the coffin maker and the leather goods. I learned alot about the Amish lifestyle but it raised more questions for me. Example no electricity but you can have generators?

I agree with Cowracer... you should be able to pick your own Bison

On day... We'll sit down over drinks and I'll explain it to you. I got a fabulous insight to the Amish from the tour-guide we had on the brown-bag tour. I spent about an hour getting those kinds of questions cleared up.

New FROG-ers

So, the wife and I just bought a 2019 Flagstaff 26RBWS. Heard about the FROG group and joined. Then saw the event for the FrogToberfest in IA. We've been camping for many years, but never in any organized fashion. The Frogtoberfest really intrigued us. We live in the Twin Cities so we're looking at 4.5-5 hour trip to attend. Still being a part of the working world, we would come down Thursday afternoon leave Sunday morning. Long trip for a short stay. Just want to get your thoughts on the event, what you enjoy about it, what makes this one special for your, the happenings in town, etc. We've contacted Will and got all the info, but we're just looking for some personal feedback. This will be our first rally of any kind. Sounds like spots are filling fast.
Thank you in advance.
Jim and Cindy.
