Less than 70 Days. Yeah!!!!!
Say a prayer we get our camper back from repairs at Dealer. The new Black Tank was delivered an inch and a half too short!! Bill took a ride over there to see what it was all about, told them to patch up the 3 cracks in old black tank but re-order another new one - they have had the 5th wheel 2 months. We told them we wanted the roof treated - don't care what it costs, just do it. When Bill went over there yesterday they still didn't do roof, they are waiting for an estimate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill told them with every phone call he made to them - JUST DO IT!!!! Now it will be 2 more weeks until we see it - we hope

Have engineer Bill design an alternative and tell dealer to take a hike.

I’d make sure they do not start something and have it apart when you need to drive it to Chenango.

Bath house may need to be visited more.

I hope they can at least patch to get you through the rally.

We're hoping we will be going to the Rally Bill had to empty the full basement, we have stuff all over our garage. And we have to prep it, clean it, load it with food and make the bed

FYI: It's not CW. We have a wonderful Mom & Pop dealer who unfortunately had her Head Maintenance man unexpectedly die last year - she is still devastated about it, those guys need someone to kick butt over there - Bill said he made suggestions to them about a lot of things, we think she was ready to hire him! They can not think "out of the box"!

It's 92 deg in Upstate NY today, supposed to be hotter tomorrow! Forecast says it will moderate after that (and for the Rally). Sure hope the forecast is correct!

and.... my converter just went out. had to cut my 4th of july camping trip short. got a new one on order, hope i can get it installed this weekend to make the rally. i did discover (learned something new) that the air conditioner thermostat needs DC power - so when the converter went bad, everything kept working until the battery ran out of power- then no air conditioner, no fridge, no water pump, no hot water, no lights - the only things working was the microwave and the outlets....

You can use a regular battery charger to keep your batteries up, that way things will work. Just hook it right to the battery.
As you probably know the converter converts 120 VAC to 12 VDC and charges the batteries. If the converter isn't doing that (because it's bad) then a battery charger can do the same thing.

If you need help I'll PM you with my phone number.

Thanks - yes, i was thinking of using my battery charger but was not sure if it would be able to keep up with the power usage. - at the very least it would slow the battery drain.

Yippee!

The Wyoming FROG contingent will be "floating" today --- literally!
We've booked passage on the SS Badger across Lake Michigan. Looking forward to views from the water.

We're heading your way! See everyone soon!!

With the heat the way it has been this past month. If anyone has a box fan hanging around your house, if you don’t mind bringing it(if space is available in your RV), we will use them in the meeting area to move the air so it will not be so oppressive visiting.

Also as in previous years we ask for any extra 10x10s for the meeting area. This keeps the sun and rain off of us. Except during the year of the downpour and we lost a canopy.

Thanks you all for any and all assistance you can provide.

Cath & I are trying to get everything packed, but the rain (monsoon) is making it tough. My crushed rock driveway looks like a trout stream and some of the local roads were closed due to flooding and washouts.
We will be getting to Chenango this Friday if we can get past the trout stream.
Let us know if anyone needs anything.
See you all there!

It is not unusual to arrive at Chenango and have it wet. Most times than not I have the frog pond in front of 114.

We are here at Chenango Valley. Arrived earlier today.

Got some rain, although not much.

Earlier today, we were asked to "shelter in place" when we tried to leave to get a few things out in town. There was an individual between us and Rt 79 with a shotgun that law enforcement was attempting to corral. We just turned around and went back to our camper. Have heard nothing about the outcome.

Another tip: when you all come in next week, MAJOR road construction on the entry ramp to I-88 from I-81. They are rebuilding the bridge over the river and traffic is down to one lane. Be prepared.

Safe travels to all! See you next week!

Bill and Anne

Boo. I have one more week of adulting!!!! Glad things are ok. Seems like a odd predicament to be in. Hopefully law enforcement got the culprit.

Thanks for the heads up. Cant wait for Thursday!!!
