Brrr

Hey little frog stay inside and enjoy a warm beverage.
If you go outside and jump in a pond now you would turn into a “frogsicle”

Happy New Year and Hello to All! This Post is from Sandy Gworek. My husband, Bill Gworek is now in the Hospital in Lake Worth Beach, FL after surgery for a Brain Bleed. In Sept. he woke up during the night to go to the bathroom, in the dark, and he fell against the dresser and got a pretty good cut on his forhead! I cleaned him up, put on bandaide, and he went back to bed.

About 2 weeks ago he started walking like the Grandpa Shuffle, worse with right leg, and he couldn't throw a Petanque ball to save his life. Bill is a really good Petanque player, He's always the Team Captain & the Shooter. Everyone was noticing. (we play everyday with all the French Canadians). I thought maybe a mini stroke effecting his right side.

Off to the ER (HCA FL, JFK Hospital) right across the street from the campground. After the CAT Scan they saw a Brain Bleed that probably happened that night in Sept. The Docs could not believe he was still alive and we drove 1500 miles to FL Oct. 6.

He had Surgery this past Monday, two bore holes in the skull with a drain coming out and a little balloon on the end collecting blood. He is in the Nero ICU. HE IS DOING REALLY GOOD!!! Right out of surgery he answered all the questions and was awake & alert. We're waiting for the drain to come out, maybe today - then he can go into a normal bedroom. Then it's off for a week in a Rehab Facility - but PT comes everyday and he is walking really good with a walker. PT guy says he might not even be a week there.

Our baby (47 years old) son lives 10 minutes away, he has been with me every day. Our buddies in the campground have been WONDERFUL!! My next door neighbor drops me off at Hospital every day so the truck can stay here. Today the son (48 years old) is arriving from Grand Island, NY.

So thoughts & prayers would be appreciated!! LOVE TO ALL, SANDY & BILL GWOREK (SITE 115)

Oh Sandy! Many prayers for Bill (and for you... for strength!).

and like Denise said:

"and may he get back to playing Petanque very soon."

I can sympathize with you, Cath went through a similar thing after a fall down some steps last year.
We both wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you at the Rally.

It's pretty cold here in Florida this morning. Only 28° when we woke up!
Nobody is playing pickleball or golfing yesterday or today. Can't wait for it to warm back up tomorrow, it's supposed to hit mid 60's. Then it'll be back into the mid to high 70's the rest of the week.
