RV show

Funny we were at an RV show last week 9 dealers in 5 buildings. Had been thinking about going to a shorter trailer. Saw a couple we liked but not the price tag. Also visited a dealer lot after the show and saw a nice unit till we checked out the hitch weight and the bed size only a camper queen.

Gonna stay with ours for now as it fits us.

We still have 7 weeks before our first outing of the season. Sad that the NY State Parks aren't opening until Mid-late May this year. We are usually out by the 3rd weekend in April.....then it's basically back to back to back weekends until the FROG rally!

Love the countdown!!! Keep it coming Ron!

We also went to the "large" camper show in the area, but were not impressed with the layouts or price tags.....so we will continue on with the unit we have for at least another season!

the weather is turning warmer and thoughts of the camping season has progressed to deciding when to de-winterize. our first outing is in 4 weeks.... and in getting ready for the new camping season - thoughts turn to the tow vehicle. The Durango is now 11 years old and has been towing the hybrid for 7 years...still running real good - but am thinking forward to maybe getting a new camper in a few years that the D would not be able to handle.... so how about i show up to the rally with this pulling the hybrid?

I’m jealous. I have been contemplating upgrading but can’t pull the trigger. If I do then it will take longer to retire. Congrats on new Tow Vehicle.

Great looking vehicle Denise! Bill says it should pull ANYTHING you choose to get!

See you and Dennis in a few short weeks....

i had some serious contemplation on taking this step as well as I am also setting up to retire in a few years - turned out that getting the truck now will set me up to possibly get a new camper in retirement. Or just not getting the new camper and enjoy the heck out of the hybrid

Thanks Anne and Bill. i just have to get over how big it is! Took it out for a Sunday drive to some wineries - so i am starting to get comfortable in it.

We are so looking forward to catching up with all our friends again at the rally!

You have me thinking. We will see if the truck gods will shine down on me and I can find a great deal.

Maybe we will have to have a sub crawl for the Tow Vehicles 🤪

well, we could shorten the length of that subcrawl - just line all the tow vehicles up in the grassy area and pop open all the hoods so the gear heads can take a gander at the engines - like a real proper vehicle show ....
but man - that would mean washing the truck - you can't show a dirty truck

We uncovered the trailer. Haven't dewinterized yet. But I gotta remove some weight in preparation for a 10-12 day trip the end of May. So I guess spring is kinda here, with all the showers and wind to go along with it.
