Brian if you are interested in coming don’t procrastinate. There is only one spot remaining. Just let me know. Your not registered for the rally unless you let me know site number and participants attending. You can im me or send me an email.

July 20-22 2018 Chenango Valley State Park Rally, Chenango NY

Well I may be getting new camper by the time of the rally! Don’t worry it’s still a FR product so I can still be at the rally. Would be pretty bad if the organizer of the rally tried to roll up in a non FR product lol

That would be like frog Bob rolling into Goshen International Rally in a SOB! Lol

So what is driving the decision for a new camper? (As your current unit is not that old).

July 20-22 2018 Chenango Valley State Park Rally, Chenango NY

We found out after 2 1/2 years that our current one is not as functional as we would like for our style of camping and travel. We boondock a lot while traveling to a location and right now I carry a Champion inverter generator and I have to get it out of the truck, get power cord out of the under bed storage, hook it up and hook to our lp quick disconnect then turn on.

When bike is in trailer we had no place to sit comfortably. Even sitting on my bench that I put couch springs in are not as comfy as recliners.

I use to be the person who shaking his head at people trading only after a year or so. We had plans to keep the grey wolf till retirement but found a better rig that will take us into and maybe through retirement and will be paid off when we are on a fixed income and less money.

We had our first camper for 8 years, so we did not break that record. Plus I got a good price on new one and good price on my trade. The numbers worked out.

That’s sort of the short version lol.

Maybe you did not read all the thread or did not read the beginning.

It is about a rally. As you notice from other rally threads there is chatter among people who have signed up. Was there any info you needed?

We would have forgiven you if you brought the weight of your FR trailer in beer for everyone!

Finally heading out Thursday after freezing my tail off over NYE 6 nights. But of course we are in the midst of the final death knell of winter and 8"-10". Yeah, could have went south. Maybe next year. NBD. In another two weeks I will be on the road 2-3 weeks a month and not looking back. See you all soon!

Ron,
Glad to hear it was an equipment, new versus old situation and not
something catastrophic happened to the Camper itself, you modded
that one pretty nicely, it will be interesting to see the progression of the
new Camper...See you and Shirley in July

Hey rmac04401 Did you ever weigh your trailer? I was just wondering how much tongue weight you have.

Yes I did. I don’t remember the numbers right now. It was within the 15% of weight of camper.

Besides my under bed draws mod, most of my mods were on the axle or behind. The spare was moved to behind tires. The couch mods behind tires. The cabinet was behind tires, and the second fridge was behind tires. That’s why I ran with full fresh water to put some weight back on the tongue.

Total loaded trailer weight was 7740 loaded with fresh tank full, and tongue weight around 13%. P

Thanks I’m looking at a new tow vehicle. Ford F-250 gas with 4.30 gears. My trailer is 7650 dry without the bikes the tongue weight is 1320. I’m hoping that the truck is enough.
