We still managed to make it out for a weekend trip. It was right around freezing, 2 degrees Celsius during the day, -4 over night. Best part: no bugs at all.

Most of the parks close around right after Canadian Thanksgiving. There are just a couple of the Provincial Parks that are open all year round. There has been talk of opening a few more, or at least having the new comfort stations heated so it's an option.
I will say that I really enjoyed the trip...not just because of the new trailer, but mostly because of no bugs. It was on the cool side, but that just meant we enjoyed the fires that much more.

Well, it's looking like we may need to cancel. Waiting on confirmation, but it looks like we are moving...and traveling 5200km each way for a weekend camping trip may be a little excessive.

Don't take me off the list yet, it's not confirmed yet. I just wanted to give you guys the heads up.
As active duty military, they arbitrarily decide to move us. I knew I was getting due for a move, and just got told to start "screening" for an isolated posting, which just happens to be Northern Canada, and where I want to go, so it's not all bad.
