Talk about cabin fever. I can't wait until this winter is over, dewinterize and get on with the camping.

We managed to get out on some nice weekends this winter, camping in the snow. We are also looking forward to dewinterizing and actually using the plumbing in the trailer for the first time.

Bigwil I thought about going out on a few occasional nice weekends but I didn't want to tease myself to much.

I'm actually booked for a weekend in Algonquin next weekend. I need to get out and cause shenanigans in a campground again before I go stir crazy.

rmac, I upgraded from a Clipper 17FQS, and have taken the FE out for 2 weekends without water. The 248RBS is one of the Freedom Express Ultralight line. Here is my initial thoughts on the trailer so far:
a. Well built compared to the Clipper. I don't worry about things falling apart when opening cupboards and such like I was with the Clipper
b. Tows exceptionally well, with the spaced out axles. The single axle Clipper bounced around like crazy, and having towed standard dual axle trailers many years ago when I went camping with my family, these tow better. A lot of times, the first tire has completely cleared the bump/pothole before the second tire hits it, and it smooths out the ride.
c. Fit and finish is decent, as far as travel trailers go. There is some nice features included in mine, like under awning lights and nose cap lights. The under awning lights are white only, but it would be a much simpler upgrade to add multicolour if you are so inclined, as all the wiring is in place already. There is also some decent accent lighting inside the trailer that isn't obtrusive, that work great is someone needs to get up and use the bathroom at night.
My overall opinion of my Freedom Express is that I would buy again, and would (and have) recommend a Freedom Express to anyone who is interested in purchasing.
I hope this helps. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask anytime.

Ron, we have not had ours out since taking delivery , we ordered it at the Hershey show and it came in on black Friday,we had planned a trip south during Thanksgiving week while I was on vacation. However the late delivery took care of that plan lol
It is stored next to our house so we have spent some time in it and I can say I have been impressed with the build quality so far.
We did go through a very thorough PDI that lasted four hours and turned up no problems . Wil seems to have had a similar experience with his so far
After reading about the problems others have had with new units I guess we are very lucky or FR has stepped up QC.
Hoping the weather breaks soon so we get away for a weekend!
Wish I could be of more help !

No that痴 fine. Just keep me posted when you do get out and I am sure I will visit both your rigs and ask bunch of questions at the rally . I do not think I will do anything before then but never know. If while looking I get a good deal I may jump on it.

Dennis 110, what dealer did you use when you bought your Freedom Express?

Suuurrrreeee, only ask the American. I'm claiming discrimination against Canadians on the forums!

July 20-22 2018 Chenango Valley State Park Rally, Chenango NY
Big will I figured the import tax and drive would kill me. Plus would they even take the good ole greenback. Then that out of country check may not cut the mustard. I値l be all for Canadians if you still bring the booze.
Just to let ya know my ancestry immigrated from New Brunswick Canada.
I知 afraid if I go across the border they may hold me for my great great grandfathers back taxes or something.

Kids?
Is a FR rally something that a person brings children to? I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old. I'd like to come to this get-together, but I'm concerned that I might be the only one with small kids? Anybody help me out here?

Doc73 has a girl around 7 or 10 and he will be attending. I know some of the others attending have teenagers.

Yes as said children are always welcome, here is another rally in early June that would be great for children, check it out. Don't want to seem rude linking this to yours but hey we are all family right

I was just kidding around, rmac. Canadians are more than willing to take your money, but the process for importing isn't worth it. Also, the $2 your great great grandfather owed is now around $1.6 million...
