Well, unfortunately we won't be able to check out Rideau Acres this weekend as planned. We went to check on the TT tonight and turn on the refrigerator and we found mouse droppings all over the place inside the kitchen and bathroom cupboards ... and the AC power is not working. I really hope they haven't chewed threw the wiring.

So we get to spend the weekend sanitizing everything and tracking down what's causing the AC power to not work. Then I'll have to get some expanding foam and try to plug up any openings where hoses and wires come up through the floor.

Oh Crap... That is a PIA for sure. I had mice climb up the power cable of my park model. I jammed stainless scrubbie into the opening and siliconed the door closed. I found the rodent expending foam helped on some spots.

Mice

Sorry to hear of your problems and especially that you have to cancel your weekend! We plan to block the area off where the fridge vent is when we put our unit away this winter as we had a very few droppings last year and it has been suggested on forum they may come in that wayWe had special spraying done when we got the unit so they are not supposed to be able to get in underneath!Good luck to you - no fun!

We are doing a discovery weekend at Rideau Acres all things being right with the flood restoration at home. September 23, 24, 25. Not sure if anyone else was planning on attending.I am told the $35 rate applies for our pre-rally rally.

In order to not distract this thread further I've posted an update on my mice issue in this thread:
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ml#post1315175

The AC power issue was not related to the mouse/mice. I had a lose wire in one of the 30A plugs I used when installing the hard wired PI EMS. That was an easy fix.

I'd love to, but, I have been told not to book anything else as my grand-daughter has a graduation, family commitments are interfering with my camping but I daren't complain as they look after my place when I'm gone.

Canada 150 Rally June 2017 Kingston Ontario

Don. Can you scare up some Tartan table cloths, some haggis and Scotch? We can rely on recorded bagpipe music so we can turn it down a wee bit. Call it the "This Ain't Crap Hut " ..... . The DW loves Johnny Reid so that could be a staple as well.

Anyone else doing the pre-rally Rally?

We're planning on checking out Rideau Acres September 23, 24, 25 to get oriented for next June.

Excellent camping temps this time of year.....and the price is right according to B and B.

Come on.....chime in people.
