Mackinac Magic

October 1 - October 5, 2014

Looking for an idyllic fall escape? Join FROG in beautiful Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island for a spectacular Great Lakes getaway. (No, we don't know why they're spelled differently.)

Where Lake... Michigan and Lake Huron meet, where the "Mighty Mac" suspension bridge unites the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan, lies beautiful Mackinac Island. Mackinac has been named one of the World's Ten Best Islands by Condé Nast Traveler. Step back in time to where the world moves at a slower pace.

Your Mackinac Magic Tour includes:

◦4 nights of full hookup camping at Mackinac Mill Creek campground, with sites overlooking the Straits of Mackinac and the "Mighty Mac" Suspension Bridge
◦Welcome dinner
◦Cruise to Mackinac Island
◦Carriage tour of the island
◦Visit to the elegant Grand Hotel to enjoy the Grand Buffet lunch in the Main Dining Room
◦Tour of Fort Mackinac
◦Shopping and relaxing on the island
◦Tickets to Colonial Fort Michilimackinac, Old Point Lighthouse, Mill Creek Archaeological Distovery Park
◦Farewell Dinner
◦Time to explore the area on your own
◦and more!

We might make this. We are planning on taking US2 across the country and this matches our estimated arrival. I need to do more trip planning to be sure.

Have not done a FROG rally yet but this includes all the things wewant to do at that end.

Just returned today from that very campground and a visit to the island. The views from the campground are fantastic, but be aware, some of the sites are a little small.
The different spellings....one is French, the other English. Both pronounced the same. It's a great area full of history. Attendees will have a grand time!

I have a deeded RV lot in Cedarville, MI. It is not far from Mackinaw City. The RV park closes on October 1st and I am gone from the area by then.

Just got back from that very campground a week ago. Absolutely love the area. If you are thinking about it, jump on it. You will not be disappointed.

Great campground. We stayed there last week of August on our trip around Lake Superior. Outstanding view of the bridge from there.

Grand Hotel on Mackanac Island - Worth the tour and lunch buffet, but a little pricey.
