I am quickly working my way through the list. I am waiting for a response from lucky number 13 right now. If you are on the waiting list please watch for a call from me and/or email from me.

Hate to have missed the Parking competition -- I'd have gotten perfect scores.

I really wish I could have come, but after forking out nearly $2,200 for the repair, I'm a little gun shy. I am fortunate this didn't happen while I was en route later this week, but it is still painful (sorry for the poor pun).
I know Ally will find someone else to fill my slot.
Best wishes for a successful rally -- have fun and drink a few for me. See many of you at BamaGanza.
PS: Ally - please bring my shirt to Alabama! Thanks.

Free Items
If this is not a good place to post this I apologize. Just thought I would offer some of my things that have been riding around in my trailer for a while. If you want something let me know and I'll bring it to the rally. If no one wants any of it I will trash it. If this belongs in the for sale section please don't move it just trash it since I'm not interested in selling.

I heard a rumor that newbies get concierge service when we pull in.
Full service to include leveling, utility hook up and a drink waiting.
see you all Thursday.

This is very true, did you sign up on Aceinspec sheet? Ally put him in charge of that function, he should be there now setting things up, what a great guy. He's always ready to lend a hand, the pure salt of this earth. Just send him a PM or email and c.c. Ally. Have a great time, I know you will, the best Mimi frog rally, but that is just my opinion.

What happened to us on the way to Mayberry 2018 ...
We are home safe after a bad blowout. Luckily with the help of some good Samaritans (who were broken down behind us as we pulled over) we swapped tools they needed to get repaired with a metal blade "Saws All" THEY happened to have, together we got my destroyed tire off the camper and my impossible to remove spare put on without an expensive tow.
As always, I checked the pressure in my spare before departure, but when I installed the new bumper mount several years ago, I never noticed one of the mount carriage bolts had the wrong (undersized) shoulder. Assembling it was no issue. Taking the TIRE off after a few years was another story. I immediately stripped out the larger square hole the bolt went through. It just sat there and spun. The Saws All saved the day by cutting the bolt off the spare carrier.
Unfortunately, after we pulled over at the next rest stop, my almost 9 year old spare tire was running lots hotter than the much newer higher rated remaining tires. (I thought to save money by buying only 4 new ones.)
The spare had turned freely when I put it on, so it was not the bearings and the hub was the same temp as the other three, so I doubt it was a hung brake.
Since we were only 40 miles into our 1000 mile round trip, I felt the world was trying to tell us something. After we had a heart to heart about pressing on with a visibly damaged camper, questionable spare tire, and no spare, we sadly decided to man up and go back home.
What's on YOUR bumper?
When was the last time you tried to fix a flat in your driveway to make sure you had everything you need rather than on the side of a toll road in 95 degree AIR temp heat? Oh, and the shoulder is slopped! Getting my jack under there and the frame lifted high enough to change the tire with the camper leaning over was also problematic.
Not sure what I hit; the tire just failed; or whether I picked up a nail (No TPMS). Another lesson learned too late.
NO
Oh, the camper is in my sloped driveway. Parked, the rear tires see a bit more weight, so the tire is a bit squashed in the photo.

Sorry to hear about the problems and I hope everything is back to normal pronto.

The parking judges were having a meeting to determine where the zip line will be mounted so they missed Fred backing in.

Yep and we got a grand way to do this. Les has volunteer to be first to try. Line will be tied off my camper latter and connected to bird house just across the pond on shallow end. Should be fun. Later RJD
