We're planning to stop there overnight in a couple of weeks on our way up to Maryland. How was it? Also, any comments on I-81?

I like endless caverns rv Resort off I-81. It is north of Harrisonburg and easy to get to from highway. They have caverns on site that you can tour. Also have pool etc. might consider it for Rally.

I 81 has heavy truck traffic. Been talk about adding a 3rd lane for years.

We live equal distance form Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach. No one from this area goes to Virginia Beach as there is little to do there. Myrtle Beach has so much to do for people and kids of all ages, even two Tangers for shopping. The aquarium, professional fireworks every week at Broadway, Go carts, great seafood, marsh walk, dinner theaters, water parks, many putt putts, zip line, the amusement park, the sky wheel, Market Commons is a quaint area . and the other usual tourist crap. but neither beach is for everyone.

This was my 4 stay there! $45 for the night full hookup and cable and WiFi. 81 is not bad with just the trucks. But when the cars start mid morning, it get bad. They r in nose to tail over the speed and prev e my easy flow from one lane to another and back. They are in a big hurry and cut you off any chance they get. Not all, but most. That's my take on it and I have run this route many times.
