Many thanks to 5er_tom for absolutely the hottest camping event we've ever endured. Registration couldn't have been easier, all participants got equally valued gifts and those name tags were awesome!

On a serious note....multiple winery & restaurant trips were a welcome relief from the hectic day to day grind a lot of us still grudgingly tolerate.

There's a lot to be said for small FROG groups when all of us can occupy one long table and the pool is not over crowded.

Some of us got to see our first Class A diesel pusher without any roof top air conditioners, and it was 95 degrees two days straight.

I personally learned more about trains than I knew actually existed. But I Googled every questionable fact and sure enough, that guy knew what he was talking about. Who was that masked stranger?

We also learned that a 20 foot extension cord can actually reach as far away as five sites to provide power for a fan. You really had to be there for that one.

Free garden vegetables at the front office and the largest assortment of live chickens that you have ever seen. Camp staff made it perfectly clear the the poultry products were NOT available as dinner guests.

Thanks to Tom & Renee for allowing us to trash their camp site each day while at the same time keeping our own sites clean for guests.

At some point late in the evening we held a vote and elected the host for next year's mini rally, but the next morning no one could remember who got the position. That's how laid back and relaxing this non-event was.

Mini Rally July 19-21, 2019

Thank you for the nice comments, and even the joking ones.

We did have a good time even with the blistering heat. It was a great group of FROGS and if you ever remember who you voted to run the mini rally next year let us know. Whittington Woods is a great CG and the perfect setting for the event.
Let’s keep this a secret little rally so we don’t get any unwanted FROGS. [emoji2][emoji2]

Including one solitary duck that apparently lied on his resume but still got the job

I had the court reporter read back the minutes of the rally and it appears that you, sir, were designated host for next year. Transcripts will be available as soon as I can forge them.

Great catch sir, I forgot about that little scoundrel. I actually thought he looked a little odd but the DW confirmed that it was indeed a duck masquerading as a chicken, or perhaps a ducken!

I am sure that SilhouettePenny would do a great job organizing the rally in 2020.
He gets my vote!

Wow, you guys really pile on quick. A fellow needs to check the forum every hour to make sure he's not been elected designated driver for some obscure future event. Unfortunately we have plans & reservations at Mt Rushmore next summer. DW retires in the spring and "Have Camper, Will Travel" is our motto. But I am humbled to know that you would vote for me if I ran for President !

We could do Mt. Rushmore for the mini rally site.

Okay you slackers[emoji2]. Renée and I will host again in 2020. Mark your calendar for July 17-19 at Whittington Woods again.
More info to come

PS: This FROG Mini Rally is open to all FROGS. The rally is not sponsored by Forest River.

Next year, could you make it slightly hotter... it was a bit chilly when it got to the low 90's at night with all the humidity

Not down by the "pond". That thing had a bit of an odor wafting from it when the wind hit it just right...
