New to FROG

I have been reading the forums for some time and I would like some more information about FROG.

How do you get involved with the group? Does it cost anything? What usually takes place at the events? Are there any events in Alberta?

So as you can see these are all basic questions.

Well I think we have the main cost covered. We bought a Rockwood 8285 last year.

JackRAbbit, welcome! We're glad to have you here, and as a Forest River Owner.

FROG is for owners of any Forest River product. There are no membership fees or annual dues. We sponsor trips, rallies, special events for members across North America. In the past year, we've done events in Washington, DC; Charleston, SC; Branson, MO; Wisconsin Dells, WI; Tucson, AZ; and a trip from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon and on to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. This year we'll be doing our first Canadian event on the Ontario side of Niagara Falls.

Our biggest event is the FROG International Rally, which will be coming up here in Indiana the first week of August.

Our ultimate goal is to satisfy our customers to the point where you'd never consider going to any other brand, and will recommend Forest River to your friends as well.

You can get more information at www.forestriverfrog.com, and can enroll either online or using a card that should have been with the material you received from your dealer.

We'd love to have you join us.

I noted at the latest Milwaukee RV Show that Forest River product had FROG hangs tags in all the trailers on display. This may help with making FROG's better known.

Hank, I'm glad to hear that you saw the hang tags in the units on display in Milwaukee. The plants are doing a great job of making sure that the tags are in place to promote FROG to new owners. There's a second item, an 8 1/2 x 11 card, with the manuals and other paperwork. It has more information on FROG, a copy of the FAQs from the website, and another registration card.

Hope all is well with you and Gail. We're looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Now if only the same can be said about the Canadian shows. When we bought our FW last year there was no sign of FROG. Also when I went to the big RV show in central Alberta a couple of weeks ago there was no signs at all. There were even Forest River reps there as well.

JackRabbit, thanks for the "heads-up" about the Alberta show. Last year you wouldn't have seen the hang tags, since they weren't yet available, and the units there would have been built a month or more earlier.

Since them we've grown from 0 member families at the start of 2012 to where we should hit 15,000 within the next month, only 15 months later.

As for this year, all of the units should have the hang tags in them. I'll do some asking around to be sure some plant isn't dropping the ball. Any idea what brands they might have been?

I went to the Chicago show and didn't, see any. I have also stopped at a couple of dealers in the area and there were none.

I wonder if dealers are removing the tags?

It sounds as if that might be what's happening, Oakman. Last year, of course there were none in the units at the Tampa RV Show, and I went around inserting them. At this year's show, I only found one unit that didn't have a tag.
