[NO VACANCIES]July 16-18, 2021. Chenango Valley State Park Rally (2020 Re-Do)

Our TN trip was canceled after our much loved Berkshire while parked where she was serviced was hit. 1 week before we were to leave. So Friday our leave date we got to see the progress of her body work. Debating on diamond shield or not. They claim
She’ll be better then she was. Apparently they don’t know she was perfect before. We’ve been given estimates of the end of April into early May. Poof gone a 12 day trip I’d had booked the campground there in October. Just plain pissed disappointed and so mad. Our poor Buffy

Sad

I am so sorry your rig got damaged. Do you need a really big bandaid?
Missing a camping trip is a real bummer. Glad it wasn’t an accident on the road.

The whole Front end needs patching generator new rails a new windshield they really busted that up. Luckily no damage to the dash but it still is a huge concern about how hard it was hit and further damage. It was a hard hit.

I told Liz about your disaster. She and I feel so bad for you guys. I can attest you guys took such good care of 'Buffy', looked like brand new last time I saw it down Williamsburg.

OUCH!

Omahagirl:

Exactly what happened? From what we've read, it sounds like a real crunch situation!
Here's hoping "Buffy" is back to her old self soon and you will all be "Happy Campers" shortly!

Of all the RV incidents I've heard of the details of this incident take the cake. I'll let Omahagirl tell her tale.

De-winterized, washed the camper this past weekend. Got half of it waxed and black streaks off. Almost got completed my homemade bike rack for toy hauler/back of truck. Still lots to do before our shakedown trip. Getting close though.

Finally got my wife’s map up. Put it on plexiglass so we could move it to another camper if needed.

I'll be able to add Ohio and Indiana to my map if we get into the Goshen rally! Those will be the only 'new' states we get to add this year. I still like the idea of showing where the trailer has camped, mine is on outer wall. If we ever upgrade, getting a new map for that trailer. It's kind of a motivation map, makes me want to plan trips for other places. If I used the map for all the places I camped, it would be half filled already, from when I was in military!

Our map only gets a new state if we overnight in the state. We will be able to add six states in May.

Brr

Glad we didn’t dewinterize yet!!! It’s depressing sitting here sewing and looking at the snow falling. Might just have to get a state map sometime. Are there “official” 🐸 rules for claiming states?
