October 6-10, 2016 - The Maine Event

The Maine Event

October 6 - 10, 2016

For centuries, adventurers have been drawn to the rugged coast and the spectacular beauty of Maine.

From the spot where sunlight first touches America each morning, to the beautiful coastline and the highest peak on the Atlantic Coast, you’ll encounter a beautiful panorama made all the more spectacular by the splendor of fall foliage.

With adventure, romance, the rock-bound coast and soaring granite cliffs, there is a special mystique to Bar Harbor. Surrounded by Acadia National Park and located at the edge of the sea, Bar Harbor has welcomed visitors for over a hundred years, and now welcomes FROG.

In addition to the spectacular beauty of the area, we’ll enjoy a lobster dinner (chicken available as an option) to get an authentic taste of the seafood for which the area is renowned. We’ll share one other meal (details being arranged), as well as a light continental breakfast on one morning.

To help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of both the National Park Service and Acadia National Park, we’ll enjoy a tour of Acadia National Park and learn about its history, wildlife, and its impact on the area. On a cruise from nearby Bar Harbor we’ll experience the park and marine wildlife from a completely different perspective.

There will also be free time in the schedule to allow you to explore the quaint seaside village of Bar Harbor and some of the surrounding communities.

All of this fun and excitement is available for only $395.00 for two adults in an RV, or $260.00 for one adult in an RV. There's a small charge for additional persons.

Only 50 sites are available, so sign up early to get in on the fun! Download the registration form at http://forestriverfrog.com/pdf/2016-...gistration.pdf

This sounds fantastic. I would love to talk DH into this but DD would have to miss too much school.

Infoope, please..

Where in the campground are we going to be located? Do we know? Will we be together in a group, or at random sites?

Can I bring my dog?

Does anyone know if they charge my cc the full amount now?

Sorry, never done a group camping thing..hope I'm not annoying anyone with my questions!

I received an e-mail that they received my registration and the full amount was charged. Unless the cg has a policy you should be able to be your dog. Can not speak to how we will be parked. See you in Maine.

Go to ------------

Go to RV park web site, If arriving early you should contact RV park for reservation. The RV park in Trenton has a web site that explains all the rules & regs for dogs and camping.

I registered and was told if you have a dog, you must have a rabies vaccination papers for each dog as a requirement to camp.

The name of the park is Timberland Acres RV park in Trenton, Maine. @ 57 Bar Harbor Road zip 04605
207 667 3600

Is anyone from Florida attending the Maine Rally?

I just got off of the phone yesterday working out final arrangements with the campground owner, and today received the menu for one of our meals.

You'll be getting an agenda and a menu selection request for the welcome dinner -- lobster or chicken -- in the next few days.

Unhappy

DW and I were really looking forward to attending this and Boston rally un fortunately had to cancel. Doctor insists I have to have heart bypass surgery. Not looking forward to that at all. Haven't had a cigarette in 12 days after another 10 will do lung and blood test to see if can do surgery.
