Oklahoma f.r.o.g winter dinners

Hi folks,

For most of us the camping season is over, we have winterized our rigs and have put them away for the winter.

After a summer of camping trips to Branson FROG RALLY, Grand Lake, Natural Falls State Park and a 19 day trip to the BIG FROG Rally in Goshen, IN. in August.....and a very great OLE Navy reunion that Nancy and I hosted in Branson in Oct.....we are ready to get on with the winter and head into 2014.

We have set up 3 dinners in Nov, Dec, and Jan. for ALL Forest River Owners that are interested.

Saturday November 23, 2013 at 6:00 at Bakers Catfish north of Wagoner on Hy 69. If we get a group of 35 or more they will set up a full blown buffet for us at $12.00 to $14.00 each, including meal, and drink. Less than 35 folks we will order off of the menu. I will let them know a week ahead of time so that we know what way we will be going.

Saturday December 28, 2013 at 5:00 at Uncle Bucks inside Bass Pro in Broken Arrow. We will order off of the menu there. It seemed to work well last year and they will still have all of their Christmas decorations still up for all to see.

Sunday January 26 at 5:30 at Knotty Pine Bar B Que on 71st Street in Broken Arrow, across from Rhema Bible School. Order off of the menu like we did last year and we will be in the private dining room. This will be the night before the Tulsa Boat and RV Show starts, and a good time to start planning some camping trips for the spring 2014.

Please let me know if you will be able to join us at any one or two or all 3 of these dinners because we have to let the folks know how many to set up for.

That sounds great, Bob. Kathy and I are definately intereted. How soon do you need a definate answer? Any campgrounds open in the area? We are on our way to Charlston so haven't put ours away yet.

Depending which of the dinners you are planning to attend..... The November dinner in Wagoner has a State Park 8 or 10 miles away, and the Dec and January dinners are not too far from the Tulsa County Fairgrounds that does have a year round RV park.

As long as I can tell the folks at the restaurants 3 or 4 days ahead will work friend.

As I was taking flyers to 4 of our 5 local Forest River dealers in the Tulsa area today.....I was offered some gift cards to use as door prizes at our dinners this winter.

Sounds like those dinners will be a great time. If I had more time, I would attend as I will be traveling to Moore, OK that day and assisting MercyChefs through the 28th prepare and serve food to those still impacted by the tornadoes from this past year. Have a great time at the FROG dinner.

We talked about doing a combined Oklahoma / Texas Rally somewhere in North Texas / South Oklahoma. We will continue to search for a campground that will be able to hold a group such as ours.

Thanks to all 24 folks who came out tonight to Chilango's Restaurant for our F.R.O.G. Dinner.

We talked about the upcoming Oklahoma / Texas FROG Rally at Texas Motor Speedway on March 18 to 23rd. $35.00 per night with water and 30/50 amp electric, and a sewer dump station in the camping area.

Also talked about another dinner April 6th, and a Camping trip to Grand lake area the week after Memorial Day weekend. More info will be available after we get all of the details set up.

Sorry that the impending weather kept some folks away tonight but we understand.

COME ON SPRING.....WE are ready to go camping.

Sounds like a fun trip for your gang. Wish we could join the group, however work and the fact we will be there the next week end would not allow us to join. Spot 118 is ours for the NASCAR race. Those are the best spots for camping at the track. We always go the week end before to set up camp.
