Oklahoma / texas f.r.o.g. Rally

Hi All.....

We talked to the folks at Texas Motor Speedway today we have reservations for only 9 rigs so far at our Rally March 18 to 23, 2014.

To make your reservation just call Texas Motor Speedway at 817-215-8500 or 817-215-8593 and let them know that you want to make reservations for the OKLAHOMA / TEXAS F.R.O.G. RALLY, and they will get you all fixed up.

I am sending this to all of the Oklahoma folks and to Lori Stenholm in Texas for her to pass on to all of the Texas folks, and asking Bob Byrne to put out the information to ANY F.R.O.G.'s that might be interested across the country.

We have spaces for up to 75 rigs, at $35.00 per night, and the plan is to have us parked in the VIP Camping Area, outside of Turn 2, for those familiar with the track property. The folks at the Speedway have said if we only have 15 to 20 rigs , there is a possibility that we could be moved inside the track and share a different campground area with another group that will be there but we would still be parked together as a group.

As stated before and confirmed today, we will have water and electric hook ups with both 30 and 50 amp service available, and a sewer dump station in our area, if needed. Shower and toilet facilities will also be available.

We also have talked today with the track catering folks and they are sending details for a catered Bar B Que dinner for Friday March 21 at 5:30, to be supplied by the kind F.R.O.G. folks in Indiana.

Any other questions you may have, please holler out and we will get answers for you.

BOB and NANCY SCHORFHEIDE

Wish We Could Make It

We are already booked for a Boomers rally in Bandera the previous weekend and a Hi-Lo'fers rally in Lexington the same weekend. Wish it had worked out differently. We've learned a lot since we were parked next to you alongside the RR tracks in August, but we still don't back in very well.

Sorry we can't make it. It is my understanding that Lori and Dan Stenholm from the Texas FROGs are going. Please keep in mind the Kerrville, TX FROG Rally in October. This is the second one and the first, last October, was very well attended.

I'm so sorry, but we are not able to make it either, I just had surgery, and though I'm feeling better, I now have the flu, we are just not going to make it! It should be lots of fun!!

The Texas rally is up and going for Oct. 8-12, can't wait to meet everyone again, and meet the new campers that are registered.

First night at Oklahoma/Texas FROG Rally

Here are some pictures from night 1 at the Oklahoma/Texas FROG Rally 2014.

There are 8 rigs here now with another couple due on Thursday.

We were a little.....no.....a LOT wind blown last night. As you can see from the sunset picture.....we were over run with 1/2 of Lubbock and all of Amarillo in a 35 to 40 MPH windstorm.....straight out of the west.

We drove down from Broken Arrow, OK yesterday in a 35 to 40 mph wind out of the south.....9 mpg in the truck, and woke up this morning to a north wind.

Hope that on Sunday it will be blowing out of the south again to help push us home.

Enjoy the pics and we will add more later.

Hope y'all have a good time. Spot 118 is ours for the races. Keep it warm will be there next week end. If TMS would have let me keep the trailer there an extra week, we would have came this week end.

What activities are we all missing out on?

Great pictures so for, keep them coming.

OK, I gotta figure out where these local FROG Rallies get posted so I can join in. We headed out of the DFW are to Canton just to get in our maiden voyage. Looks like we could have made the trip to the far side of Ft Worth and had a good time.
