(RALLY FULL)July 15 -17, 2022 Chenango Valley State Park FROG Rally
We went to RV show in Maryland two weeks ago, went to one in Oaks PA today. Not a great time to buy an RV. Prices are out of sight. A camper you could have bought 2 years ago for $15,000.00 is now selling “show price” LOL. $30,000.

Yep prices are crazy! Glad we bought when we did!
Looked at the 2022 version of our camper and the show price was over $40,000! That’s more than we paid for the first house we bought. While the prices are crazy they were selling them.
Heard some people talking about buying something with bunks and converting the bunk area into closet/pantry because they don’t have kids but liked the rest of the camper.

I figure comes the beginning of April it's time to uncover the trailer and start work on it regardless of the weather.

I got busy/lazy this year, and never got around to covering it, and we had very small precip events this winter. Go figure.

Fun
Hurray our new recliners from rec pro arrived yesterday (before the worst of the snow hit). Got 6 inches of snow yesterday most of it melted today. Need warm weather so we can put the slide out and remove the sleep sofa and put the recliners in. Unboxed one today it looks great.

can’t see too well but trailer is now uncovered!! Figure if bad weather comes hopefully it’s not too bad but will give us a lil more time to get things started for the trailer and tow vehicle.
The cover did have a couple small rips from the wind, but it looks like it did well. I’ll pay more attention to the trailer tomorrow and we patched the cover so we’ll try and see how well we can put away the cover then as well.
Surveying inside damage 4-5 stink bugs. That was It, so glad no little droppings or what not. I saw my first bunny outside for the season in the back yard. Spring is starting to spring up!!! Can’t wait to camp! And sis is having me watch her little one (15 months) once a week. So the trailer can be a way to get peace and quiet. Two years later and it still seems like a pretty good investment to me

Just uncovered ours today. Other than a few stink bugs hanging out in it, no signs of animal entry. Had to add some more sealant to the little hole where the solar enters the roof, the last glob I put on there must have sunk into the plastic piece.
Repaired two rips in the cover, otherwise it survived. Hopefully we'll get a few years out of it.
Now that it's uncovered, I can get to checking out the brakes and try to figure out why I'm getting an overload condition. Wiring looks fine, going to change out the magnets next. We have a set, and they're not that expensive. Maybe they've shorted internally or something. Next job is to fix the parking brakes on my Jeep. One of the hold downs for the parking brake shoe failed, and the right side parking brakes were destroying the backing plate and everything in there.
Edit: Yeah, what she said.

I kept getting brake system warnings on my F150. Turns out damn animals had chewed through the 4x4 control line (pneumatic), that connects to braking system as well. Replaced that line myself (not fun), and no more warning messages. Strange how these modern vehicles work sometimes.

I went out to get my TT ready to get inspected and power jack is kaput! So on to amazon and ordered new one only issue is had to crank manually to get truck hooked up to trailer.

Well that's no fun. We haven't tried lowering or raising ours yet. Prob a good idea before we go on our first trip and are trying to load up to verify. Any idea what killed it?
As for the brakes, yeah rodents are pains. I don't think that's where the issue arose. I'm wondering if when the outriggers were being fixed (new set welded on) if something happened to the brakes. Guess its a reason to pull it apart sooner rather then later.

It’s 4 years old. Did not have energy to do anymore than light troubleshoot. Easier to just purchase another one. I have a high hourly rate, so a few hours of my time is more than just purchasing new. Lol
