Rally Vendors ?

Did not attend last year but registered for this year. Heard MORE VENDORS versus 2014?! Hopefully even more in 2016.....I need a slide topper for our big kitchen slide on the Silverback.

2014 I tried to get a Progressive hard wired surge protector while there. No one could do it! Wound up with the portable instead.

If you can comment on 2015, shout out.

Last year there were more vendors and they took up two buildings. I believe the vendors come to the rally to sell the products but don’t bring employees to install them.

Some do. I had a Safe-T and sattelite dish installed while there.

Kind of my feelings also that just selling and not to much in the way of installations. Lots of good stuff tho. Did get a freebee Guy from IR radio installed app on my phone to work it remote. Later RJD

Glad to hear MORE vendors last year. Trend looks good. Hoping FR would help ORGANIZE a tech network to do some installs; steps; electronics, etc. Hard to buy and carry products home and spend the rest of your life trying to get it installed! CW and others are not overly helpful when you do not buy from them!
If I were not so darn old, I would take that $2,000 tech training course. Lots of opportunity at Rally's and just repairs at RV Resorts during prime seasons. Mobile repair services seem never to be where you need them .

Just buy that topper at your local Camping World and they will install it for you, for a nominal fee.

I also will be looking to buy 3 slide out toppers at the rally. Hoping to get a better price there.

I'm not sure if better price should be your angle...I found that the benefits are more convenience and advice...I compared many prices at the vendor booths to amazon and if available, amazon always won on price

Do NOT be lulled into thinking Amazon is always cheaper. More Convenient; sometimes. You always need to step back and do your homework. The founders are not BILLIONAIRES by offering the less cost!
Just say'n! In the realm of the American Dream, small business needs us when we can use them.

Fair enough statement about Amazon but my point is still valid that the vendors at the rally may not have the lowest price as 97flhtcui is hoping to see.

Dometic might do installs for a fee at their factory during the rally but you would have to ask Frog Bob for sure.

birdman77, we went to the goodsam rally in Phoenix in 2012 and Hellwig was there with info on suspension overload springs. She gave us a number to the company and got them for $100. They normally sell for $179. They just came out with that model. You can get vendor prices at rally's.

Ok...I did not find any drop dead deals last year and admittedly perhaps I did not look in the good spots...but perhaps this year will be different...let's hope so!

We had a windshield chip fixed 2 years ago at the rally and I believe he also had other items for sale and install while there. Last year we were going to have a exhaust system changed while there but ended up waiting and feel we got a better price at home. Have seen folks get new furniture while at Goshen. I know Dometic changed out our awning fabric but that was a service item. I think if you want to spend some money most will be there to take it and arrange for installs to a degree.
