Yes I know, Bob has assigned me to the site next to you and given me the task of forming the SPIE organization (Surveillance Personnel In Elkhart pronounced spy). Our sole purpose will be to track and monitor the location of his golf cart 24/7.

How do we get a spot not beside the Muck Pile? What are the best spots when the registration actually opens?

The way this threads been going, do I need to be worried about registration selling out? I'd like to go this year, especially since I managed to convince DW to take vacation that week, so I'd hate to miss it because every filled all the spots in like 1 hour or something.

Don't worry about running out of spots, we have the whole 4H Fair Grounds in Goshen Indiana. But the earlier you register the less likely you will near Turbs and the muck pile. Big Bob (A.K.A. F.R.O.G, A.K.A Papa Frog) will find room for everyone.

The NW outside corner of the Race track last year had some muck piles outside of the horse barns that were removed just before the start of the rally.

My truck was parked between some Muck Piles, then during the middle of the week the sheriff was out there with convicts shoveling it into a trailer.

We were out in the infield of the race track besides a far walk( you can get a golf cart) the track was soft to walk across after the heavy rain. If you want quiet, besides the TRAINS, this is a good spot.

We are definitely ready to register for Goshen 2014...
We missed the first Goshen Rally (2012) because, being new to FROG back then and not knowing any better, we allowed daughter#1 (there are 3) to plan her wedding in conflict.
Learning from this, and after the superior experience we had at the 2013 Goshen rally, when daughter #2 announced her plans to marry this summer, we took corrective and made sure that her wedding would not keep us from Goshen 2014.
At first, she was actually looking at the first week of August, but, decided against it when we explained to her that the only wedding venue available to us that weekend was in fact , the Elkhart County Fairgrounds. Ultimately, she chose July 4 weekend instead.
Go figure!. I thought she'd like the idea of sharing her special day with 700 or so of our new found FROG friends.
