Remember when Forest River gave free service to all?

Wouldn’t it be great if the rally was like it use to be when Forest River gave free service to all.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone, somewhere is paying for it.

The current system is generous to a fault. Thank you Forest River!

I kinda think Forest River has put profits ahead of goodwill. Forest River can sell every camper they can make. RV sales are probably at a all time high right now. Forest River use to shut down all the production lines during the rally.

As a consumer would you like to wait an extra week for your factory ordered RV to be ready? The main reason IMO the curtailed the service is people was abusing the service. Just like anything else a few ruin it for the rest. Forest River still does far and above other manufactures, in goodwill, rallies, and assisting people that have issues. That why I stuck with FR when I upgraded. Had another manufacture in mind but I believe what I get with a purchase of FR sways my decision. Every manufacture has their issues. The rallies are for meeting people and having a fun time with like minded people. The repairs if you fit in the criteria is icing.

FROG. Spends a lot of money on all the rallies that are out there. They don’t have to but they do.

It doesn’t matter if extra weeks were in a year you would still have to wait on a camper. There was ways to fix the free service without cutting it out, Forest River just got greedy. I like the Cedar Creek line, the factory has been really good to us. I had a Wildcat Sterling I special ordered from the factory that was built on a Monday by a bunch of drunks that had a party and got drunker. I got no help from the factory. But Cedar Creek has been great. Should I ever trade campers it will probably be another Cedar Creek (36CK2) but then I would have to take the Creek from the factory to Amish Family RV.

They did not cut the free service out they fixed it by putting stipulations on the free service.

They fixed it alright, camper can’t be more than two years old and only two items. My camper is four years old. They could have made the cutoff ten years old and three items.

Profits and goodwill are linked. Too little goodwill erodes the customer base. Too much goodwill eats away at profits. Businesses are always looking for the right balance, kind of like the Laffer Curve.

I think most people attending the Rally are quite happy with Forest River.

Folks who are unhappy with FR could always buy another brand, attend their rallies, and get free repairs forever from them—if anyone is offering such.

Why the fuss about repairs that FR furnishes free up to a 2year old camper. Sounds like your one that wants everything for nothing. Later RJD

Yup, these days everybody wants free stuff. Honestly, how many of these people are personally willing to work for free and provide product and materials free gratis?

I thought they employed the Amish in all those plants up there.
These things should be works of art and last forever.

Mine is.

And it will. It has to, that's when my payments end.

How about naming another RV manufacturer, who provides this kind of service, at a Rally.

We must all remember that Forrest River is not a family business, with good ol boy values... As most of the RV manufacturers have been absorbed, bought out or put out of business by the megalith giants of investors.

Forrest River's leash goes to Berkshire Hathaway. Have you looked up the stock price of Berkshire Hathaway? BRK A You know the Warren Buffet club! Probably no one rubbing shoulders on here could afford one share.
So you are right in your statement "profits ahead of goodwill"
And so the rest of the world has changed as well. So Sad

They need to charge for older campers, at cost. Free for newer ones.
If you have more than 2 fixed just let them know and if there is time they get around to it.
