Rally

Hi Sheryl - we are new FROG members & would like to attend the next rally. We are NOT new to RVing - have had several types the last 20 years. Currently we have a 34' Rockwood Windjammer. We pull it with our F250 Ford V10.

Everyone may now register for the rally. Please call Williston Crossings RV Resort and let them know you are with the Rally. Back in sites are $40.00 and pull through sites are $49.00.

Please be aware of their cancellation policy. Basically, if you cancel more than fourteen days prior to the date you will be refunded your money, but you will owe a $10.00 cancellation fee. If you cancel seven to fourteen days prior, you will be given camp credit, meaning you can use that at a later date. There is no reimbursement of money less than seven days prior to the Rally.

Please let me know when you register and how many will be in your party. I also need to know what site you reserve for planning purposes. You may PM me or post it here. I am looking forward to a great rally again this year!

I may cap this year's rally at 25 rigs. That is more than the first year, but less than last year. Things will be more manageable that way and a little more intimate. Please get your sites early so you aren't disappointed!

Sheryl,
I (Ron Lubrat) have registered for the rally. My site number is 328. My wife and I will be there a day early. If I can help out in anyway before or during the rally let me know.

Chester Stupenski told me to tell you that he and his wife have registered for the rally also. Their site number is 333. He was having internet problems.

Plans are moving forward on the rally in September. We have plenty of room for more folks, so if you are interested, please register with Williston Crossings RV Resort at 352-528-7100 and let me know what site you will be on.

This is the tentative schedule of events:

Thursday afternoon - arrive and get set up.
7:00 - Meet and Greet. Bring an appetizer or dessert to share, as well as a beverage of your choice.

Friday - Ether pot luck breakfast or pancake breakfast.
Tri Am RV will have Forest River units to look at. View the latest models of various RV's. They typically have brought a Park model, Class A, Class C, and travel trailer or fifth wheel.
Hot dog/hamburger lunch, sponsored by Tri AmRV.
Possibly a question/answer session with a mechanic and roof inspection.
Friday evening - pot luck dinner, discussion about trips folks have taken, games.

Saturday - free time or go on a field trip with the group, which is to be determined.
6:30 - Catered BBQ dinner. Everyone is to bring craft beer or wine to share. This was a lot of fun last year and everyone enjoyed it. Those who don't drink alcohol bring craft sodas to share. This year we will either have a deejay spinning your favorite songs, or we will play games.

Sunday - say your goodbyes and pack up for your trip home.

I hope this gives you a better idea of the activities planned. I will let you know as particulars are decided. Anyone who is willing to help with the plans, please let me know!

Sheryl

Looking forward to another great event (thanks Sheryl & planning committee people!). We learned so much new stuff last year.

Joe & I (& pups) are registered for site 462 & would love to volunteer for helping out with the beer tastings again (hope y'all kept that table contraption as it worked GREAT!). If there are other places you could use a hand please don't hesitate to ask. We have a large coffee pot if needed for the breakfast (recommend you have everyone bring their own mugs to decrease waste & work)

We have a cornhole set if you would like to use something like that for game time. If no plans for Saturday maybe gather groups for a brewery tour (20 minutes away), winery tour (40 minutes away) or day at Cedar Key with shopping / fishing tours? Also have an inquiry out to a kayaking group for the area.

Personally I wouldn't mind a rough day sitting around that nice pool & chatting ... Terri

I'm so happy you two will return this year! Kevin and I have kayaks and wouldn't mind going, but I think we need to be mindful of everyone's capabilities and interests. Great ideas, though. Please folks, if you have ideas about what you would like to do as a group on Saturday, feel free to toss out ideas.

Sheryl

Friday Breakfast

Thanks Terri and Joe for posting the pictures from last year so the new people can see some of the fun we had. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making a few new ones this year. Really enjoyed the morning coffee sessions last year.

I would like to get some input for Friday breakfast. Since we are doing a pot luck dinner Friday would you prefer a few of us doing a pancake, etc. breakfast or would you like to do a pot luck? If we go with a pot luck breakfast it would be nice to get a list of what everybody wants to bring so we don't have too much duplication.
