Vita and Robert.....I believe the Kayak trip is scheduled for Saturday morning. See post #48. I think this is also the night of the catered dinner provided by Forest River in case you were planning on lunch at the Mexican restaurant.

I am on the forum every day so pm me if you have any questions. Again thanks for suggesting this.

Robert and Carol will be attending in 363. Carol is interested in kayaking, I may get with Tiger Rag to swing the clubs. This is our 1st FROG rally and just now enjoying our 2nd camping excursion. Looking forward to meeting and greeting, please let us know what we can bring to the pot lucks.

I may be persuaded Tiger Rag to bring some clubs for a round if you are still interested.

Due to privacy, Sheryl is the only one with that information. About 22 have posted their site # and I have been keeping a list from day one. Also, there are quite a few registered with the campground but never posted or emailed their site. Many are not on the forum. We are on site #306

Campbuzz, can you please provide me with the site number you have reserved, I don't see it on the list. If you already gave it to Sheryl please disregard. We have several that we need to get that information from.

We are going to have either a pot luck breakfast on Friday or do up a bunch of pancakes. Currently it's leaning toward the pot luck.

Thanks... looking forward to seeing you in Sept.

Bill

my site is 328 and I sent it to Cheryl in post 29. It is great to see someone is helping Cheryl out with the details. I can help out at the campground when the rallye begins. I will be there a day early.

Furry Kids Protection

I am going to post this elsewhere but thought I would put it out here first since the temps at the rally may be on the warm side. Most of the sites have some shade and the park is well maintained.....But.... what would happen if the power went out while we are out on a day trip or the A/C quit working for some reason. This thought has always bothered me

I did some research last Saturday and ordered an item called TempStick which monitors the humidity and temperature in your unit every 15, 30 or 60 minutes and will alert you via email or text if your settings are exceeded. You can also download an app and check on the monitor without an alert being sent.

The units works off of wifi and does not need any special equipment. I have a Verizon MiFi to use as a hot spot. The TempStick sells for $149 and does not require a subscription as some of them do. If you Google "temp stick coupon" you can get a coupon code and take $5 off.

Here is the link if you are interested. Bought mine Saturday and it arrived today (Tuesday) Ideal Sciences — Smart Sensor Technology

So kayaking seems to be losing numbers (and that is OK as the number is limited) ... leaning towards the 4 hour ecotour on a limited access river but could offer Silver River 2 hour tour possibly. Once committed payment would be necessary as there are limited numbers allowed on the ecotour. This event is Saturday morning. Anyone else?

For those of you who are interested in the kayak trip, please email me at heinicka@gmail.com with your preference for the kayak trip. The options are to do a 4 hour ecotour on the Wasccassasa River or more of a float trip on the Silver River. The Silver River trip will be about a three hour or so trip. Once we know your interests, we can then plan how many will be participating in each trip and make the necessary arrangements. If you are not physically fit or able to continuously paddle, I would suggest the Silver River tour as part will be paddling and part will be floating with lighter paddling.

Kyinger, thanks for posting your site #. Looking forward to meeting you. I am sure we will car pool to keep from overloading their parking lot, as we have done at other rallies.

We have about fifty folks signed up for the rally (25 couples). I am going to close registrations at sixty people. If you have been thinking of registering, please don't wait too long. Email or put a message on here with your name, site number, and if you want to kayak on that Saturday.

Sounds like a plan. Would love to chase the little white ball around.

Silver River 2-3 hour trip by Kayak

Put us down for 2 on Saturday, would like a double kayak. We will NOT be towing a vehicle on this trip. Let me know who we need to contact to make reservations and pay. Just wondering about transportation from the campgrounds to the kayak rental.
