I had voted in the poll sometime back, but in looking at it tonight, it shows that the poll is closed. I'd suggest that the OP open a new poll with just the top 3 voted sites to date and that it be tallied again. I am personally not in favor of Pigeon Forge/Sevierville because I think it is too commercial and would change my vote from Mayberry to Maggie Valley because it is really beautiful here in the western NC mountains.

Must add my two cents, the Pigeon Forge area offers the best of both "lots of stuff to do and see" and the other end is " you can be in complete solitude in minutes".
