No generator for me. I can't stand the noise. I have 500 watts of solar and a total of 300 AH of lithium based primarily in the pickup truck. My panels are portable and can go anywhere the pickup and the solar generator goes. I have about 50 feet of cable to extend the panels to the best spot. I have another 30 foot length of cable , but have never had to use it.

I purportedly live is the most forested State in the nation and almost none of the State Parks and private campgrounds have solar friendly sites. I do check out Google maps in advance of booking to search out the most favorable site.

I have on occasion gone to a sunny spot in the campground and parked the truck and set the panels. The park loved it! I also once went to the State Park check in booth on a rainy day and asked if I could charge the solar generator for a couple of hours via shore power at the booth for a quick 60 AH.
