Cape Breton Nova Scotia

What an incredible trip! We did several days of off grid camping all over the Island and Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

The leaves are turning, the vista overlooking the cliffs, along the ocean and more were amazing. Trails were fantastic.

So many spots to pull over and set up shop. We stayed 1 night along a beach near a Lobster boat harbor including a sandy beach. Another night we park on an edge of a cliff during a wind storm a smashing waves. A few other nights we grabbed spots all over the place.

There we a few other RVers around. Not that many. Traffic was light and temps reasonable for the time of year. Restaurants serving up local grub are still open. (we BBQed) There are campgrounds all over the Island. However, we are not campground type people. Our dogs also enjoy the privacy

If you are looking for somewhere different to try. You should put this on your bucket list

Couldn't agree more about the beauty of Cape Breton Island. I've posted pics from our trip to the Maritimes in 2013.

Re the dogs. Make sure you have health certificates. updated and proof of rabies vaccines

We camped in the National Parks and boon docked elsewhere.. lots of toads and beached to park near or on. There are lots of campgrounds. However, I can not advise on any of those
