First Boondocking Outing (Tailgate)

My son had a lacrosse tournament yesterday at a large city park, I contacted the Parks and Rec Dept and asked them if it was ok to setup our 5th wheel for the day, they said as long as I didn't spend the night. So we decided to volunteer to cook and offer a place to relax for the coaches, team and parents between games since we had 4 hours. I acquired a Generac 4000exl (genset, 3 full gas cans, 2 pigtail adapters, oil and extra air filter for $125, what a deal!!) from a friend of mine who recently installed an on board propane genset, so I was anxious to put it to use. I went to get the trailer out of storage while my wife went to get the food, met back at the house and filled up the fresh water tank, drove out to the park, found a great spot in the back lot, cranked up the generator and had a blast, it was a lot of fun watching people drive by and looking at us like "now that's how you do it", we had a lot of compliments, we had college football on the outside tv, people walking by checking the score, the coaches, team and parents really enjoyed it. The weather held off most of the day, we were expecting 60% at 2:30, it rolled in about 7:00, luckily we were packed up for the most part, we still got drenched and had a very slow trip home on the back roads but it was worth it.

That looks great. I've thought of doing that same thing for my Grandkids' games.
