The one genny has a 30a plug for use when running together. Comparing the Powerhouse and Honda both running beside each other at a local RV dealer there is no comparison in noise. If I had it to do over again; there would be two Honda EU2000i generators in my camper and not the EF3000SiB. I would also have the Propane/LNG conversion done to them as well (US Carburetion mod - Generator Conversion Kits to Propane and Natural Gas.).

Noise polution effects all of us. Be it generator use for camping or construction.

If all generators ran as quiet as Honda's maybe, just maybe, the price might come down too.

I think when it comes to generators "You Get What You Pay For" applies. We have a Powerhouse 300i. Its a good generator that works well and is pretty quiet in eco-mode under "no load". But i don't think that Powerhouse puts as much effort into the engineering and design of their generators as Honda probably does. The components (engine, etc.) are retrofitted "off the shelf" are not specifically designed for quiet running, etc. For example, if you remove the inner panels from the Powerhouse you will find a second, hidden oil dipstick that seems to have no reason for being there.

If I was going to purchase a new genny tomorrow I think I would spend the extra dough and get the Hondas because they have a reputation of being very quiet and very reliable.

I should also say that we were at Assateague Island enjoying the beach and our brand new Powerhouse started leaking oil and smoking so badly we had to shut it off for fear of destroying it. Luckily a neighbor let us use his 2000W to charge our battery. And, even though I bought the genny from somewhere else, Camping World didn't hesitate to do the warranty work and we got a brand new replacement. :-)
