Quartzsite----Best area for a couple weeks?

I know there are a lot of areas to boondock around Quartzsite and have tried a couple.

Planning on going there again in January (2022) and am trying to decide which area to set up camp in for a couple weeks.

On my last two trips I stayed at Plomosa Road BLM area but am wondering about something closer to town.

Interested in any suggestions, either places to camp or places to avoid.

I normally stay in Scaddan Wash. About a mile or so from the east end of town.

Curious to hear from others about this area as thinking of going there also. Is there any hesitancy boondocking in these areas given all the issues along the border currently. Know there has always been some but the levels are much higher. Have read with some encounters with no issues amd for the most part tend not to worry that much. Just wondering
Thanks

In the two times I went there I didn't see anyone that looked like they might have been involved in any "border issues" just the usual transients one might encounter in a big city homeless encampment and lots of RV campers.

Don't want to leave a generator unsecured as well as other valuable items outside when gone from campsite as there are opportunists wandering around.

In my two week stays I didn't see anyone suspicious looking over my campsite or others nearby.

Quartzsite is a fair distance from the border.

Just came upon this thread.
The amateur radio guys will by in the La Paz Valley road area if your interested.
Seminars, equipment and antenna demonstrations, etc.
Maybe even license test sessions.

Prefer the area further south of Quartize near the Yuma Proving Grounds. Less crowded and facilities.
