Just noticed two boon docking rigs at Snow Bird Mesa (aka Poverty Flats) located 5 miles south of Overton, Nevada. At it's busiest there will be between 50-60 rigs out there during the winter months. Even though some call it "Poverty Flats", there are usually quite a few very expensive rigs parked there during the winter months.
One thing about boon docking is that no matter where you are at, you are always home. Sadly I won't be boon docking this winter, but will still have a bunch of fun doing my thing.
"Semi Boon Docking" A new phrase perhaps. Her's a question for the forum snow bird boon dockers. Say you had a seasonal, 9 month, October through June, warmer area to park your self contained rig, that offered a dump station a mile, or so a way, and a water supply (200 +/-yards) near by. You would still not have any hook ups, and your rig would have to be clean looking, and self contained with no leaks what so ever. You would still have a quiet time of 10pm to 7am. You would also have to keep the immediate area around your rig clean, with no junk piled up around said rig. You'd have to clean up after your pets. There would be a weekly inspection for rig compliance. Even a public boat launch, and/or bank fishing <2 miles a way. Gas station, laundromat, and mini store, with propane, (w/ higher prices due to location) about 3/4 of a mile away. What would pay per month to "semi" boon dock in an area like this? I say "semi" because it would not be free. Just curios.
